Sundale Motel

My husband and I were greeted with a disgusting state of an apartment, we paid good money for a so called penthouse the spa and outdoor area was atrocious it was covered in mould the spa was empty and green the bbq had no doors it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in months. After calling the manager we were advised the spa would be looked at half way through our stay. She was extremely rude and aggressive when we approached her. Overall the whole experience was unprofessional and disgusting especially at such times through COVID with how unhygienic the apartment was presented.

Pool was locked at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon because the manager leaves then!!! BBQ covered in rust and unuseable. Party next door and ten people (not even staying there) out in the common area literally 2 metres from my bed drinking, smoking and swearing whilst we tried to sleep. Onsite manager useless and turned off his phone so he didnt have to deal with it. Worst accomodation experience i have had and would not go back!

Great location, great parking, great AC, very comfortable beds, good value. Basic, but clean accommodation for a good price.

Excellent location to access the events in Gold Coast.

Manager was extremely rude. Room was diabolical - Unhygenic, dated and uncomfortable. Perhaps management should try improving the motel instead of insulting travellers reviews on trip advisor because they can't handle the truth on how bad the motel is. If you're passing through the Gold Coast and looking for a modern, cleanmotel with friendly staff and cheaper than this apalling place, I highly recommend Tropicana Motel on the Gold Coast Highway. Located near the tram stop and across the road from Pacific Fair

The room was large the main bed was very uncomfortable felt like I was laying on the springs other beds good traffic noise is a problem in room 8 but the views are good

Older style motel room perfect for overnight stays near transport shops and waterfront Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful

I got a phone call in the morning to say they have checked us in that the door will be unlocked when we arrive and we are in room 8 that was fine time came that we arrived no one at reception so we went up to our room which was unlocked all the windows open no Flyscreens had a quick look around we were not really happy dead bugs Bug poop ants a mouldy air conditioning that didn’t work and a tv with no Chanel’s. On the upside there was plenty of clean towels the beds were made nicely there was a fridge and microwave tea and coffee. Me and the kids went and checked out the pool apart from it being a little dirty with leaves. And a few floating bugs it was lovely refreshing although you do have to be careful with a few of the bricks surrounding the pool as some of them are loose. Heading back to the room we Noticed that there was now staff at the reception which I mentioned the A/C to her (I forgot her name but she was lovely a Blondie) I didn’t mention the cleanliness as for us the heat was more of and issue Blondie came up to sort air conditioning and TV out which she could not (she did try) so she promptly sorted out another room for us (which I did not get photos of) The room was nice 100x better than the last she also gave us chippies and put cans of coke in the fridge for the hassle she really was a lovely lady the price of $127 I think it was for a family for the night was a little steep for a no frills motel but we still had a fantastic time away and a great sleep

It is a great place to stay if you're on a tight budget and don't want to stay in a hotel. Location is great and lots of onsite parking.
