Alles war traumhaft!!! Wir hatten wunderschöne Stunden in den onsen… danach eine tolle Massage getippt von einem himmlischen Abendessen!!!! Die Betten sind sehr bequem!!! Der privat onsen auf dem Balkon hat großen Spaß gemacht! Das Personal war extrem nett!!! Also alles in allem super toll! Auch wenn man es dem Haus von außen nicht ansieht! Mehr als empfehlenswert!!!!!! Danke 🙏

great service in a well looked after hotel.

Having traveled to more than 60 countries, I can confidently say this stay will remain in my memory. What started with a small miscommunication turned into one of the most remarkable hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. This hotel feels incredibly cozy and almost bespoke. The traditional Japanese-style room is beautiful and extremely comfortable, the bathroom is great, and the onsen facilities are a true highlight. The kaiseki dinner was outstanding, with impeccable and warm service throughout. The true highlight, however, was the manager, Sakamoto. After a minor issue with our transfer, I received a polite email apology. Upon arrival, he personally apologized to me and my husband. Throughout our stay, he provided attentive, highly personalized service and communicated flawlessly in English, which made a big difference. The most unforgettable moment came when I realized I had lost my wedding ring. After informing him, we went out for the day — and that evening, he returned with it, having found it. It was deeply emotional. He showed genuine pride in his work. It’s clear he sets the tone for a team that treats guests with care and sincerity. People like him make all the difference. We would absolutely return — especially to be welcomed again by Sakamoto.

Amazing stay. 5 star experience. Beautiful hotel and traditional environment that was serene and peaceful. It's an older hotel but the upkeep and cleanliness was superb. Staff were friendly, helpful, and kind. Even with my poor Japanese skills they still tried to converse with me patiently, although many could speak English. Plus, in-room facility/hotel guides are available in nearly all languages via QR code in the room. The onsen and in-room tub were incredibly well looked after and everything was clean and comfortable. Location was central to everything. Finally, the food was 10/10 delicious and beautifully served. Highly recommend a stay here and would happily come back again.
