Las Gaviotas Resort

Had a great night at this hotel, the layout was great for all of us. 2 full bedrooms was very nice to have.

watching whales from the hotel is something very few resorts anywhere can boast.

Great location along the Malecone, lots of restaurants within walking distance. Nice breakfast by pool. Property is very dated, in need of updates, kitchen in particular a little dirty. Understaffed, same people clean rooms, serve breakfast, respond to front desk bell.

Good breakfast. Nice pool. Nice staff. All balconies face the Malecon with full harbor/bay views. Big 2-bedroom apartments. Friendly English+Spanish speaking owner/managers live on site. Secure indoor parking! Fairly quiet after the nightlife on the Malecon slows down. Closest restaurant was mediocre, but other very good ones within walking distance. Nearby mini-mart/Oxxo. 10 minute walk to Whale Shark snorkeling boat docks. Older basic apartments with good kitchens, tile floors, large balconies. Beds & linens in good shape. Some minor maintenance issues, like screen doors off track, bathroom light bulb out, and some furniture a bit worn and could use steam cleaning of upholstery. Good value for the $. No AC but ceiling fans in every room. I would stay here again. Solid 2+ to 3 Star facility at a fair price.

One Nice place. Outstanding views. Just plain comfortable. As a family we have stayed in a few resorts in and around La Paz. The Las Gaviotas is our favorite.

Confortable, amplio y limpio

Amazing view of the Malecon and Sea of Cortez! Walking distance to many watering holes and great seafood. Bike rental (cheap) just a few blocks away made for a great afternoon ride along the coast! Grocery stores nearby made it easy to make homemade cocktails and meals in the room (fully stocked kitchen with all necessary appliances).

Our stay here was great, the area was close to the restaurants. Beautiful view of sunset from our large balcony over water. Accommodations met all of our needs.

El hotel se encuentra en muy mal estado, ningun mosquitero sirve, al llegar habían varios focos fundidos, la regadera principal no drena y huele mal, las camas son muy incomodas y ruidosas y las almohadas duras y con bolas. Las puertas de garage hacen mucho ruido y cada vez que abren o cierran se oye en el condominio del 1er piso. Lo unico valioso de este lugar es la ubicación y la chica que te prepara el desayuno fuera de eso muy caro para lo que es. No volvería a hospedarme aquí nunca.
