Hotel Königshof Hamburg

Very small room. Staff not very attentive. Breakfast was good. Lots of street noise from people drinking.

Bit of bother when checking in and out. They had cancelled my booking but not contacted me to tell me. Then on checking out I didn't get an invoice, when I asked for it later the man on reception didn't want to give me one and told me it was my job to tell him in the morning. He then told me this is standard practice in Germany. I've stayed in many hotels in Germany and this was never been the case. Overall the room was fine, but the staff were argumentative which was stressful.

This is a good value for money hotel. The staff were helpful and the room was spotless. The area may not be everyone's cup of tea but its close to the main station and the town centre so ideal in that respect. We also got a free (continental style) breakfast, which you can never complain about. The only reason I gave 3 for comfort was because my room was on the ground floor next to reception, so it could get a little noisy. Other than that a clean and handy hotel

I was quite pleased overall with hotel. I had no idea what to expect when we got there but I was pleasantly surprised. The workers at the reception desk were friendly and very helpful, breakfast was pretty decent for it being free as well. The room was very clean and pretty modern. Our room was near the front desk so at times it was a little noisy, but it didn't bother us much!

The area around the station is a bit rough - but the hotel itself is really nice. Room was comfortable and clean, the staff helpful, buffet breakfast was adequate. Would stay there again ...

Accidentally booked 'shared bathroom' rooms, but wasn't too disappointed as I don't always go en-suite anyway, that is until I realised there was one tiny bathroom (not even a separate toilet) for the ~10+ rooms on one floor. Really not ideal. The room was basically a cupboard and the television gave only blurry channels. I have insect bites on my arms following my stay, but the room did appear clean. I wouldn't recommend this hotel or stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel now several times over several years and despite continued mixed reviews I have always found it to be clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff obliging. The breakfast, considering the price is good and well presented. I like the location close to the hauptbahnhof, and while it is a bit seedy, it is also interesting with a good variety of eating places. I will continue to use it when I am in Hamburg.

Incredibly bad smell coming from bathroom drains. Made it difficult to sleep so I kept window open and outside construction was very noisy. Small room with uncomfortable bed. Nice staff, convenient location.

We booked his hotel because it was considerably less that anything else in Hamburg and we were only there for one short night. The hotel is in a slightly seedy area near the Hauptbanhof. Checking in was a bit confusing as there computer system was down and they were unclear as to what we had booked and what the price was, however it all worked out. The room was small but clean, the bed was good, shower hot and breakfast was substansial. They let us keep our luggage there for several hours after check-out which was helpful and nice.
