Residence Inn Dallas DFW Airport South/Irving

The facility is newly renovated and is very nice. The people were great. Breakfasts were great. Our only issues were with the room itself. The furniture was thoroughly uncomfortable, especially the fold-out sofa that was the main seating piece for the parlor. The bed was fine except that the mattress was covered in plastic. We both woke up drenched in sweat the first night and had to put bath towels down on the mattress to alleviate the discomfort. And the pillows were awful; thin, floppy, uncomfortable. All this is fixable and we hope they do.

Shuttle was super easy and convenient to airport.

Price was just silly high with lots of taxes not quoted in the booking price.

Excellent rooms. Hotel is currently under renovations so the halls have some work but the rooms are so nice and clean . We traveled with our 2 small dogs and unfortunately they started barking while we were at a Rangers game. The front desk kindly called us @ 830 PM and I was able to return from the game (they just needed to go potty again :P...but at least they didnt go inside) :) But the front desk was SO kind and understanding and was to pass along my apologies for disturbing the neighbors. Even having dogs, I am SUPER particular about staying at hotels which allow pets because some don't clean as well and the room smells like animals. I can say that this hotel does an excellent job cleaning. Last but not least, the front desk. We can't say enough great things about the front desk agents. From check in - to notifying us about the pups barking - to providing us information about check out and area information - Alicia and Ariel were fantastic. Very professional and very kind. Anyone who has traveled since Covid knows that it's not been the same sense. Most employees are rude and don't seem to care or be attentive. The room was actually CLEAN (housekeeping has been slacking horribly at many other hotels). Alicia and Ariel and the other hotel employees have been a wonderful change from the majority of our experiences over the past 2 years. Thank you to all the employees!

Alicia Medina is an amazing worker she got me checked in fast and smoothly with out any problems need more workers like her the hotel is amazing and good maintenance hotel will definitely come here again on my next visit to Dallas Texas -Armando ozoa

Alicia at the front desk is awesome she made sure my stay was amazing with my family. I don’t really see this type of customer service anymore. I’ll be coming back this amazing hotel. And u get complementary breakfast!

I stayed here on an American Airlines voucher. I landed late and had an early morning departure. The girl who works at the front desk at nights is very nice. She seems overwhelmed though. The room was excellent. Nice bed, nice room with kitchen. I got in late and left early. The grab and go snack bar by reception was welcome arriving so late. As usual if you are leaving early on the weekend, no complimentary breakfast for you since it was too early. One big problem. What the heck is wrong with the airport shuttle here? The shuttle is tiny and only holds 7 people. So just be warned. We waited 1.5 hours in the middle of the night for the dang airport shuttle. Apparently it keeps filling up and going back and forth to the hotel, leaving people waiting for hours since it's so tiny. And in the mornings? You better show up early. It is first come first serve for that tiny little shuttle. So get there real early if you want to make your flight. It is shocking being so tired and waiting so long for the shuttle in this dark area outside the terminal. Unbelievable.
