Staff was very friendly. Property is currently under construction in the breakfast area. Breakfast was limited in scope. Room was clean though the stopper on the bathroom sink did not work. Room was spacious and well stocked for what you needed.

"Should have been better."

4.0

We stayed 3 nights in this Residence Inn. I read the reviews before booking with this hotel. The only working elevator is slow, not a problem we took the stairs. The hotel is only 4 stories high. The pool is closed, not a problem we were not planning to use it. The continental breakfast is lacking, not a problem we have a full kitchen in our room and used it for breakfast. Staff was great….until. We’d left early that morning to visit family and when we returned we realized we forgot to put out our towels in the hallway to trade for fresh ones. We are not accustomed to doing a towel trade at hotels, but we rolled with it. Again, not a problem. So my husband went down to the front desk for fresh towel and was given three towel sets for 5 people. She explained that housekeeping had left for the day (it was 5:30pm) and the hotel ran out of towels which are currently being washed. We visited more family, walked around downtown and upon our return I checked to see if more towels were available. The woman my husband spoke with said, “I gave your husband towels earlier.” I let her know she only gave us 3 sets and that is not enough for 5 people. Then she tried to give me some excuse about the hotel being full and they did not expect that to happen; therefore, they do not have enough towels. That is a problem. I offered to wash our dirty towels, but the hotel would need to give me money to pay for the washer and dryer. The other lady at the desk offered to check for clean towels in the hotels laundry room and brought me the 2 sets we needed. FYI - 2 of the washing machines and 1 dryer are out of order. The second washing machine broke with my clothes in it. And to end this somewhat frustrating stay, there was a giant roach dying in the hallway outside of the guest laundry room. Dying not dead. It freaked me out every time I went to the laundry room. GROSS.

"Terrible condition---Terrible customer service"

2.0

We were booked to do a long term stay of 2 or 3 weeks. Upon arrival, to check in, there were no spaces to park near the door. We finally found a place to park, and went to the front door to discover that it was closed, and an alternative entry through the courtyard was the access to check in. The door was propped open with a door stop. The interior was in total disarray.....plastic sheets hanging from the ceiling, plastic on the floors, temporary desks draped with plastic....basically a wreck. Check in was rather arduous, and should not have been. We were suppose to have 2 rooms booked on the same floor. No real greeting or personality from the desk clerk. Gave us our keys, and said the elevator is "over there." We went to the elevator, and then I looked at the keys----2 rooms on 2 different floors.....really?? Back to the front desk.....she was rather snarky. BTW---our original request was for 2 rooms, near each other, top floor, away from elevators and highway. She put us on the 2nd floor --- near an open stairwell---which was fixed open. When I asked for a luggage trolley---got the same not helpful response---over there by the elevator. I told her there were none. She said, well I guess they're on another floor. I said, yes, and YOU need to find one. Back to the rooms. The remediation that was going on was between the 1st and 2nd floor. The rooms were fairly adequate, although in 1 unit the bathroom ceiling had a huge crack, sofa bed was not level, and mold around the shower. They left the door open at the stairwell all night due to running air handlers to dry out the damage caused by a leak between the floors. Those damn air handlers ran ALL night....no peace!! When I asked about the situation the next morning, I was basically told, that's how it is.....and the repairs/remediation was "posted" on their website.....NOT really!! But, what kind of answer is that???? They did NOTHING---were so lazy and practically insolent. Huge disappointment from a Marriott.

Property was under construction. None of the amenities listed on site were available. Utterly disappointing when you only go for the amenities. Waste of money.

"Wish I wasn't so disappointed."

4.0

PROS - hotel is centrally located (on the highway) if you want to drive to see all of Dallas and surrounding areas. 2 bedroom suite was large and worked for our family. Front desk and breakfast staff were very nice. Outdoor "firepit" area looked very nice and comfy. CONS - No pool & construction currently (Mar 2021), looked to be almost finished. No towels upon arrival at 9am (we paid for the night before because flight got delayed), took about 6 hours to get towels. Took 8 hours for someone from housekeeping to come clean up the hair left from previous stay and to vacuum. While the housekeeping supervisor was very nice and apologetic her staff really didn't seem to understand they needed to vacuum or pickup the french fry crumbs from previous family. Don't worry, I picked them up myself after watching them pushed into the corner with the vacuum. Room 122 - Smell of wet carpet/mildew smack you in the face when you enter, EVERY TIME. Carpet was filthy, huge stains everywhere, my kids feet in shower looked like they were running in mud. Someone before spilled maybe red kool-aid under the desk and in the middle of the room. Couch has a huge sinkhole in the middle. If you sit on either end, you will slide to the middle. The kids made a game of it. Took 3 phone calls to maintenance to have them come flip a breaker because the power was out in one of the bedrooms. Thermostat was held in place by 7 command strips, we went to touch it and half of it just fell. Curtains to the room were dirty. They looked to have some sort of dirty water line across them or something. Toothpaste in the sink from previous family as well. Handicap shower does not run hot water for more than 5 seconds at a time. No matter which way you turn it, you get nothing but ICE COLD water. I discovered this after a particularly long day of travel with my family. Happy it was me and not my kids. We all shared the other shower which worked just fine. Room location is near a highway off-ramp, its loud at night. Bring a sound machine, worked for us. For some reason one of the hotel entry doors near our room just would not cooperate. Someone was there fixing it (really nice guy) and the next day it looked like someone tried to rip it off and reattach it with duct tape. Didn't bother us, but in case you're worried about safety, just a heads up. My pictures aren't the best but I captured what I could.

"Construction Site & Power Outage"

2.0

The hotel was under renovation. It was basically a construction zone as soon as you walked through the doors. The beds were hard. The worst part of it as if hearing the construction happening WHILE ON VACATION, the power went out at 4am. This was NOT worth MY $133 and MOST IMPORTANTLY my RELAXATION TIME.
