"Exceptional"

10.0

We had a fabulous time. The food was accommodated to our personal tastes with no fuss and the room was a good size for a family of 4. The spa and pool facilities were wonderful, clean and the water a comfortable temperature. Benefits from specific child pool use times for comfort of all guests. Set in very pleasant grounds but unable to comment on the local area as did not spend time there. The team is very friendly, accomodating

"Great location and hotel "

8.0

Gorgeous setting and the room was lovely. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good however on the pricey side. Drinks were also quite expensive. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We had a spa room which got really hot and stuffy if you didn’t have the air con on. However the room was clean and spacious and the bed comfy. We used the spa facilities and these were clean and well maintained.

"An odourous night at Fawsley Hall"

4.0

The hotel main building is a quality period property, nicely displayed and set in attractive grounds. Our stay was spoilt by a nauseous smell that pervaded our room overnight when the window was open. Once awake, it was difficult to get back to sleep as a result of a background hum from what seemed to be cooling fans. We had to call the night porter, who agreed there was a problem. He was unable to help but promised it would be noted at the desk. We lost several hours sleep in the middle of the night, wrecking our stay and taking a couple of days to recoup from. When we spoke to the manager, he recognised the problem but not its gravity. In the circumstances, we would not expect to have been charged for the room. Despite our unpleasant experiences, he felt £60 credit out of £215 was sufficient. We were severely disappointed.

"Lovely place but not sure it’s worth the money "

6.0

Lovely gardens, nice spa area although it is a bit short on loungers, rooms was just ok.. bathroom had a small horrible shower (room 25) and hairdryer was very poor. This is a lovely building with lots of character. However, i feel it’s overpriced for what it is. Breakfast very nice. Just let down by the room being a little boring and characterless and a very impractical shower. Drinks and food are VERY expensive. We went to a local pub call The Countryman which was lovely and very reasonably priced. Car park also very tight.

"Everything fab about this hotel "

10.0

Perfect place, amazing inside & out. Would definitely recommend it. Quiet & peaceful. We stayed during the week so not sure if it would be busier at weekends. Lovely room & staff were great too. The food was good too. It was my boyfriends birthday & the only thing I would say is that we wasn’t offered an upgrade & nothing special was left for him in our room. Other hotels I have been to have left a cupcake. So expected something. Spa is very expensive so maybe better with a package deal. Wasn’t impressed with the massage I had as I was a beauty therapist so have certain expectations. Shockingly expensive for what you get & was too pushy trying to sell a product when a sample would have been nice. Couples massage isn’t on the treatment list which was disappointing.

"Great Retreat"

The Great Hall never fails to impress. And the best scones ever are integral to the cream tea - forget the finger cakes though.
