We were only really at the property for a short while really, just B & B, but Terry could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We had a fantastic night sleep followed by a breakfast to die for. Thanks for the perfect stay.

"Wish every Lodge in the World would be this Comfortable!"

10.0

1) I was met by Mr. Terry, who has been an Excellent Host. He gave me all the Necessary Instructions including - how to use the allocated keys, the Free Wifi password (which worked very well) and took down and even remembered my breakfast choices. He also very kindly, carried my suitcase up two flights of stairs. 2) - The room and attached bathroom were very Clean. I had, in my room, access to a double bed, and 2 single beds. The TV and other equipment was also working well. 3) - Mr. Terry made my breakfast, which was a typical vegetarian English breakfast - hence everything was hot and fresh.

- (Not a complaint!) - Evenings can be a bit chilly in Birmingham, and while the radiators were working well, it can still get cold.

"Well-located, comfortable guest house with great hosts, at a reasonable price."

9.0

Friendly helpful hosts. Very clean room that had better facilities than most rooms in this price bracket. There was a fridge that would have been useful on a longer stay, and most unusually a cafetiere and ground coffee in addition to the usual coffee tray. The inclusion of green tea was thoughtful. The bed was very comfortable, and with two doors between me and the stairs it was quiet. It is conveniently located for Acocks Green train station for travelling into Birmingham city centre, and there are late-night convenience shops and take-aways nearby. I can recommend Big John's for a kebab and chips. Good food at a reasonable price.

It was further away from the NEC than had been suggested by Booking.com, and getting to the NEC by train from Acocks Green involves two changes and a walk between Moor St. and New St. station. A taxi is about £15.00 with Veezu.

"Haven’t experienced such hospitality in years - thoroughly recommend."

10.0

It was very well maintained, with nice unpretentious but pretty decor. Very clean. My room was simply decorated, with everything you need for a one night stay, including a very good hairdryer and extremely comfortable bed!

Entrance was slightly confusing upon arrival but went round the back!
