Elmdon Lodge

The hotel is situated on a quiet road. The room was clean with lovely white bedding and the bathroom had toiletries ready to use. The hosts Terry and Katherine were really helpful and friendly, both before arrival answering a couple of questions, and on arrival and during the stay. There is parking off the road on the hotel grounds and the gate is locked but accessible for guests. They were able to accommodate gluten free requests for breakfast and even had gluten free arrival biscuits to go with the ones in the room. This was a lovely touch as so often those needing a special diet are left out. The breakfast is cooked to order ranging from cereals, fruit, full English or a combination of eggs, bacon and salmon. Pretty much anything you ask for they can offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely return here if we are in the area again.

Warm welcome, good off road parking. Clean and comfortable room. Fantastic breakfast with a lot of choices, juices, coffees, croissant, bagel with smoked salmon cooked breakfast,served on terrace overlooking garden.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. Katherine and Terry was welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. Plenty of choice at breakfast time they made sure you never left hungry 😊 spacious room with super king bed the best bed I’ve slept in for a while. Definitely be returning again in the future. I made a very late booking and was instantly made most welcome by Terry and Katherine who have run this Lodge for many years. Everything about my stay was perfect and a fabulous breakfast was available if required. I extended my stay by an extra day and this presented no problems. I travel around the country and stay at many places most of which do not merit a review. I wish this lovely couple all the best and a successful season and will certainly return when next in the area.
