Maple Bank

Great place for adults! Most of the guests had been hiking, went to dinner and were back in their room before 10. Most of us were down for breakfast early and headed out for the day. The proprietors are friendly, helpful and all round wonderful people. It is about two miles to Keswick so there are no parties going on outside your window. There is a bus that drives by and cabs in Keswick but having a car makes life easier - in spite of driving on the wrong side of the road and the -//::;;;(())$&&@ round abouts.

Very clean, attractive and well appointed. Facilities were well thought out. Owners were lovely friendly people. Breakfasts were very good.

This is a high-quality country guest house with attentive hosts. We stayed two nights and would happily return.

B&B located in a beautiful spot nearby small village. Ideal to escape crowds in Keswick yet with easy access to it (hourly bus just outside). The room was absolutely immaculate, the owners friendly, chatty and able to provide good advice about walks in the area. Breakfast - five star Full English with a selection of Fresh fruit salad, cereal and yoghurts for 'starters'.

Long distance visit for a sad occasion. This was a good place to stay; my hosts were kind and helpful.

Rhona and Tom made us very welcome. The breakfasts were delicious and the service was excellent. The location was very private and peaceful. The room was very clean but on the small side. Overall we were very happy with our stay at Maple Bank Guest House. We would definitely go again and recommend it to family and friends.

We enjoyed the comfort of the room, the close proximity of dining venues, the easy access to the Lake District and most especially the warm hospitality of the host family.

Great stay in a fine little village near Keswick. Nicely located for anything to do with the N Lake District and also Hadrians Wall area easily accessible from it. Friendly, helpful owners and very comfortable all round. No public sitting area but it doesn't really matter for most people. Strongly recommended as a place to stay. Pleasant walk to local pubs and restaurants in the village.

A family run B and B. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was lovely and as much as you wanted. If you have mobility problems the stairs can be a problem. Other that that I would recommend.
