The room was splendid - loved the theme in the Woodpecker room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the view smashing ........ However, for some reason, the Shower did not work and the bathroom door needs adjusting as does not shut properly without some effort.

It might be advisable to supply Children's portions of food for some elderly guests as the normal dishes at evening dinner are very large. The cooked breakfasts are of a good standard and the choice plentiful.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was lovely and powerful. Overall my stay was fair to good.

I stayed 3 nights from Friday to Monday morning and asked for breakfast on Monday morning but I was told that breakfast isn't served on a Monday as it costs too much to turn the oven on and pay the staff as they don't usually have guests on a Sunday Evening. I am 90 years old and I dont have apps on my TV so I coukdnt watch TV. I couldn't find sky if it was there and I don't think there was free view either. I stayed in the accessible room with the wet room. Unfortunately the water from the shower goes all over the bathroom floor making it a slip hazard.

Beautiful setting and gardens. Very friendly staff and accommodating. The food was excellent too. Lovely place to spend a couple of days away.

The rooms could do with a bit of modernising, but were nonetheless very comfortable.
