The Clarendon Hotel

The room was clean and tidy and very comfortable. The air con worked great and it was great to see a mini fridge, tea, coffee and mini milk sachets.

I found the parking a nightmare, we stayed for two nights and I was glad to go out for the day so I didn’t have to worry about the parking situation. You can only park for a max of 3 hours then no return for an hour. You can stay overnight up to 8am so I had to set my alarm for 7:45am each morning and either pay for parking or in one case move the car completely. Although not the hotels problem, I wouldn’t return unfortunately as can’t park.

Room very small .lots of stairs couldn't open window very far

The location excellent. The suite was spacious and comfortable. The staff were excellent and very helpful including the cleaning staff.

There were too many narrow stairways but once in your room it was extremely comfortable and spacious

Room was comfortable and well looked after, and good facility for self catering.

Access to room after 5pm was awkward because I hadn't read the detail of your pre-arrival advice. I incorrectly assumed that having been sent the room number there would be staff to complete check-in arrangement. The message I received three days before arrival did not make it clear that check-in would not be possible without use of your app. I would have appreciated a message on the day of arrival advising use of the Clarendon app. The double flight of steep stairs to room 10 was also difficult. Parking not easy although we had forewarning.

I it’s location and cleanliness

We had a beautiful room overlooking the sea. Staff were very helpful.

No lift abd quite narrow stairs.
