The Boot at Melbourne

Nice room, despite being in a pub it was quiet, breakfast nice although expensive.

We were charged £40 yo check in an hour early. Which seemed excessive.

The location was good and the bar area had a good buzz about it. Breakfast was ok but sort of deconstructed with tomatoes served separately and my eggs on toast…well not on the toast which was served dry requiring buttering. My wife’s scrambled eggs were a bit dry. The coffee seemed a bit weak.

The room…supposedly a double had no room for cases and was so small that one of us had to lay on the bed so that the other could go to the very small and cramped bathroom. Should not be sold as a double room! No real apology from the staff, just a shrug and an ‘Oh dear’. It’s a shame as Melbourne is lovely. If booking please checkout the room size.

Good value for money and lovely food. Booked on the day of our stay so good value.

We loved everything about it! The staff were super helpful, absolutely nothing was too much. The food was incredible! The room was lovely, clean, and super comfortable with beautiful decor. There was nothing to not like! We will definitely stay again.
