Collection Hotel Birmingham

No air conditioning, no breakfast, room and area dodgy. No sleep. However will say check in staff were efficient and polite.

Average hotel, only good for 1 or 2 nights. Overpriced considering there’s no on site restaurant. The room did have a fridge. Pillows very flat and mattress very lumpy. Bathroom was in need of a deep clean. Security guard on the door checking guests on late nigh return

Room looked tired, bed linen past its sell by date. shower to hot, controls did work properly to make it cooler. The mini fridge in the room wasnt working properly and whichever way you turned the temperature gauge it didnt make the fridge cooler. Used the public toilet downstairs in the lobby was in a terrible state. Presumably from a function from the night before.

Hotel booked by friends for cricket at last minute so little available. Hotel is basically dirty, old and falling apart. Uncomfortable and like something from Fawlty Towers. No breakfast served to every ones surprise, but to be honest I would not have eaten there

Hot, smelly hotel which was dirty and ancient looking. Dark wood paneling, broken furniture, revolting curtains that I didn't even close because I didn't want to touch them! Marked walls, stained carpet and the most revolting headboard I have ever encountered!

This hotel was just awful it looks nothing like the pictures smashed doors at the front no lift access to top floors. The room we was given bed were not even made so swapped rooms second room was not much better stained curtains brown unwashed net curtains curtain did not fit the window stains on wall loose tiles on bathroom floor. No hot water for shower TV did not work properly and no remote either

Stayed here after a wedding reception, the hotel is nothing like the pictures these are not its current condition. staff were friendly enough but they couldn't polish this turd of a hotel! i had to ask them to move m to a different room it was so filthy, the second room wasn't much better but it was only for one night and we went to the premier inn for breakfast, really didn't want to stay in this place a moment longer than i needed to.

Hotel is tatty and dirty. Gaffer tape holding carpets together and not been painted in years. Cobwebs and inspects splattered onto walls in room 1015. Corridor stinks of marijuana. A really bad experience and never to be repeated.

When I rea the reviews I was horrified and was expecting the place to be falling to pieces. Upon arrival the reception area was very clean and we were quickly provided with our room key. Upon entering the room everything looked as it should and the bed sheets were clean as were the towels provided. After a while in the room the bathroom light bulb stopped working, which, with a quick visit to reception was fixed immediately and had no further issues after that. The room had some minor stains on the walls (in low down corners and were barely visible, they ha evidently been cleaned and just hadn't come off, definitely not a cleanliness concern for us at least.) There was another minor stain on the fabric headboard which was also super faint and wasn't of concern to us. The bedsheets were very clean and fresh and surprisingly comfy. Everything that needed to be clean was clean. This room was nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews suggest. Personally, for the money, I had a great stay and a very cosy sleep, favourite part being the large flatscreen TV mounted directly infront of the bed which was great and meant no neck cramps the next day. I would definitely stay here again. If you have booked please don't let the reviews scare you like they did for me, the room and bathroom were clean were they needed to be and I had a great sleep in a comfy bed. If you are expecting 5 star and are a bit of a hotel OTT perfectionist you might have a slightly irritating stay, but for the money every need was met and the bed was clean. Would stay again.
