A lovely place to stay within a perfectly English little village. Wonderful touches in the room and great spaces to rest and enjoy.

We liked the hotel but unfortunately I was scammed after using the hotel’s Internet on my mobile phone. Please do not allow this to happen to future customers. I had to pay £200 to sort out the problem.

Beautiful old building with lots of character, staff were amazing and so friendly.

Lovely town, staff pleasant, however most of the time we had to go look for staff to take our orders or to ask where or orders were. Heavy Rainfall in the Early hours of the Monday, woke up to water dripping in my face with a leak, had to empty the bin to collect the water from the leak, and move the bed position. Much need fresh up required of the paintwork interior and also exterior windows. In the dining area where the large rug is, much need clean dusts and food parts around this and the skirtings of the table closes yes to the wall where they advertise Special wines… breakfast menu no toast and no sausage ( well unless you like Apple n leak ) and no crossonts on the Monday am and at weekend no fresh berries for the yogurt at weekend but did have watermelon and pineapple. Misleading with the town center.. it is wishing it, but the town center.. if you blink you would miss it, driving is a must as quite rural.

really lovely stay. Warm welcome, staff always friendly, polite and informative. Nice room with very comfy bed, only negative was there was no bath and room was at the rear of the property so no view.Food was very good ,had 1 evening meal which was tasty(limited menu but that seems to be the norm post covid) and 2 breakfasts which were delicious.Good parking on site and nice choice of areas to sit out in the sun - beer garden across the road and nice area to the side of the building.

Great location, lovely staff, great food. Try the scotch egg!

Dog friendly, lovely big room and great food - dinner & breakfast. A great stop over hotel for our journey from London to Devon.

Nice room, very helpful staff, good food. Parking arrangements leave a little to be desired.
