Baan Manthana Hotel

Baan Manthana was easy to find, and quite a few of the locals knew where it was as well. The balcony was huge, and the room was very spacious. The staff were kind enough to help us with various inquiries. The beach was close and the night market was even closer. Very accessible and comfortable, I would stay here again.

The hotel is very central and very close to the night market. Also just a few mins walk from the railway station. The room was fine and clean and overall good value.

On entry you think, what have I done, walking up old alley-way to old reception but then you get to the rooms and they are new, clean, air-conditioners are great, showers and toilets very clean and the bed comfortable with all the TV channels and WiFi free. The location is beside the night markets and all the local, local dining spots. Staff were very friendly (even if only two lads). A good spot.

Recently refursished rooms are very comfortable. Staff are very friendly but have limited command of English. Location is great with many bars and restaurants nearby, taxi stand in street outside and night markets around the corner. Very cheap rates for a clean and comfortable stay. Will use this hotel for my next visit.

We arrived after a long train ride and were tired. The front desk staff was very friendly and check in was easy. Our room was on the second floor in the rear building. The room was clean and a good size. The bed was firm. The AC worked well to cool the room. The TV had a few US stations to keep up to date on the news back home. The balcony was nice and included 2 chairs and a small table. The hotel is 1 block away from the Night Market, 10 min walk to beach and rail station. It was right across the street from a Bus Station that we used to get back to Bangkok (2hrs). If I visit Hua Hin again, I'd stay here.

Location is good

Location of the hotel was great as it was located just beside the busy night market. Walking distance to the beach and railway station as well.

Hotel location is excellent. Super close, easy walking distance to Night Market, scenic Train Station, restaurants and most other needs. Neighborhood is clean, family otiented, quiet, not full of bars (but still easy to find a drink). However, if you're so inclined, Hua Hin's main party zone begins only about 5 minute walk from here & the beach is about the same distance. I stayed in their cheapest room. It was clean, quiet, very basic but with essentials including safety box, TV, fridge, maid service. However, no room service or mini bar. Front desk personnel speak good English and are very kind & helpful. Don't worry about less than flattering exterior photo of hotel. It's actually fine once you see in person. Hotel even has an elevator and a decent little swimming pool. I recommend this hotel as a great budget option in fun, safe, pedestrian friendly zone near the beach.

In brief, prior to booking this hotel, I read the previous Expedia reviews, and, after booking, I was not surprised or disappointed with anything.

Nice location. Close to train station, night market and bus station is just opposite to Hotel. Need to walk for 20 minutes to the beach, but not worth to go, you will be disappointed. If you want to have a nice beach, go somewhere else. Facility of the hotel is very basic with not much service, just a place to sleep. WIFI signal is so weak and slow. Swimming pool surrounded by building, limited time for you to have sun bath. People is nice, they will give you a map and tell you how to go to night market and the beach after check-in.
