Good Value Apartments by MX Zermatt

I stayed 5 nites in the Studio Madeleine. Very cosy homely apartment complete with kitchen and bathroom amenities, full bed linen and towels, very comfortable bed. There are some basic condiments in the pantry, which is a nice touch. The room has 2 sets of windows offering both town and mountain views. The delightful balcony overlooks St Mauritius Church and a stream, nice to sit out to enjoy the weather. I was blessed with mostly sunny days during my stay. The restaurant Chez Gaby downstairs offers delicious meals on days you don't feel like cooking. Great location close to shops and supermarket but away from the busy-ness. There was a little unforseen incident with the kitchen tap but was looked into very promptly by Donald. Very professional and prompt service. Highly recommend this place.

Nothing I didn't like. Only that washing machine, tumble dryer was listed as room amenities but not found in the room. Perhaps this can be clarified as chargeable or are shared facilities somewhere in the apartment.

Great value, awesome location and managers were awesome to deal with. Very helpful and accommodating, always happy to answer our questions or help when we needed it. Thanks for an awesome stay!

My husband and I liked everything about the property! The location is great. The apartment is located in town with easy access to restaurants, stores, hiking trails and mountain cable cars and cog railroad. It is beside a lovely glacier fed stream with a view of the mountains. A lot of thought has gone into the design and furnishing of the studio space: The kitchen is well appointed (see photo), the bed very comfortable, the WiFi good and amenities such as bathrobes and slippers provided. Self checkin and checkout was a breeze. Best of all, when we asked if there was somewhere we could store our bags between check out and the time our train left, Nick advised us that the studio was vacant for that night and so we could use it until our train left at 1:30. And there would be no extra charge!

No breakfast included. Excellent location. Kitchen facilities were adequate. There was a very nice coffee maker that uses pods, and a rusted kettle. Large spice rack. Excellent oven . Very good shower. Bathroom and room small but adequate. Nice balcony with view of Matterhorn. Balcony had two chairs a small table, a clothes tender and an ashtray.

There were enough pots and pans but only one lid. No toaster, no microwave. Somebody was smoking most evenings and some mornings in a near balcony. The property keys were waiting for us on arrival; the apartment was unlocked. We were only told the floor where the apartment is, but not which one; so we had to try several doors until we found one that was unlocked. As we were told right before check in, it is impossible to lock the apartment from the inside. The door to the building was always unlocked. Laundry room on ground floor has three washer and three dryers. You pay using a card provided. Our card had a balance of 5.60 SFr, which was enough for one wash. To discard household trash you have to walk a little over 300 ft and also go down 23 steps or take an elevator. Then you had to go back the same way.

The location was excellent as we were going to a wedding at the church with the reception nearby. There were lots of coffee shops - recommend "Cups" and a grocery close by.
