I like the proximity to places of interest

I wasn’t aware the hotel was closing the day we departed for a full refurb. There was no bar, food or even an option to buy a bottle of water in the hotel. It’s clearly in need of a good revamp as my foot went through the floorboard on the landing a few times That said, the room was clean and spacious and what appeared to be a brand new and very clean bathroom . no faults on the room itself

I loved the the property was based in the centre of everything the town and the pleasure beach and north an south pier great location will defo be going back

The only thing I didn’t like about the property was the stairs were so steep and my room was in the 3rd floor

Perfectly clean. The room exceeded my expectations after the immediate impression we got from the exterior of the building and the reception area, both of which looked a little worn and torn but the room itself seemed fine. Our family room (103) was quite spacious as was the bathroom. There were 2 radiators and the room was very warm (a bit too warm as the radiators were on full). Shower was decent. Lady in reception was very friendly and helpful.

I’m being picky… The only things I can find fault with are: - the bathroom door was very squeaky (top tip: I rubbed the hinges with one of the free mini soaps in the bathroom.) - there were 4 teabags, 4 coffee sachets, 8 little jiggers of milk but only 1 sachet of sugar. I’m sure I could have gone to reception to get more sugar but didn’t want the inconvenience. - I found the bed ok and I slept fine as did our daughter. My partner thought his side of the bed was a bit uncomfortable and woke up with what looked like little bites on his feet, so possibly bed bugs but can’t say for certain. - the towels seemed new so nice and soft but not great at getting you dry and left bits of fluff on your body! - The listing says there is parking available but when I enquire during booking I got a response saying “there is no parking” and yet in reception it said parking available for £15 a night. So there is limited parking (about 4 spaces) but just not always available. There are car parks nearby but avoid the JustPark one on Trafalgar St as we paid £6 online but found it was full so had to go to the large carpark nearby but Coral Island (North pier) and pay £19.
