Bartholomeus Klip Farmhouse at Elandsberg Nature Reserve

The setting and quiet location on a farm. Excellent staff with good service and tasty food.

It is a very old farmhouse and the rooms are average size.

The reserve is beautiful, Staff are lovely and food is excellent.

Our 4th visit - a great the escape from city life, on a working farm, with commendable conservation efforts, fantastic food, charming Victorian homestead and wonderful staff who look after your every need and make you feel right at home. Lovely to experience the game drives with very knowledgeable Esmeralda - a fantastic treat

We liked the attentive staff and their friendliness.

While " bubbles" is a weicome and pleasant touch, the Pieter Kruithoff is a little disappointing and does not match the standard of the hotel. At our previous visit we found the menu selection somewhat more elevated.

The property is reached after 5km along a dirt road. The house is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The food was excellent. The game drives were interesting and informative. All staff very friendly and helpful.

An amazing place. Beautiful grounds, wonderful hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble. If you want peace and quiet and to be looked after royally, this is the place to go. The daily game drives were instructive and interesting. You're not going to see the big five, but you will see a variety of antelope, zebra, ostrich and birds of all types. The main project is the protection and nurturing of the endangered geometric tortoises. It was wonderful to see how these creatures are being reared in specially protected areas and then released into the wild. Mariska, the guide, clearly loves her work with them. She is inspirational. And we were lucky enough to see three babies in the wild too. There are beautiful gardens for a short walk and a dam for water activities. The huge pool is fantastic. The staff are friendly, extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay as good as it could be. The food was also plentiful, and very tasty. Can't recommend highly enough. Brilliant.

Nothing at all. Maybe for those seeking activities outside the property, the location may be a bit remote, but that's the beauty of the place.
