The bed was comfortable with nice white bed linen I needed a place to stay that was in my budget

The interior ( and exterior) all need to be updated …a coat of paint and new lighting would make a big difference All the laminated signs in the room were very off putting

Great location and lovely trees/gardens making it feel more private

No fly screen on window, couldn’t open without full access to room

The location suited me, easy to find, lots of parking, big room

We recently stayed at this motel as a family of 5, before a graduation at Monash Uni. My elderly parents also booked and stayed at the motel. Firstly, the motel is clean, the rooms are relatively comfortable and well equipped (though dated), and in very close proximity to Monash Uni. But that is where the positives end and unfortunately I can only rate our experience as 1 star at best. We booked (and had confirmed) two rooms through booking.com for 4 adults and 1 child. My parents booked a room for 2 adults. Completely separate bookings weeks apart, separate credit cards, and separate accounts on booking.com. The only similarity is the surname. Unfortunately, this must have confused Graham (the apparent manager) and when we arrived in late evening, there was only one room available for my family, and one for my parents. I rang Graham, hoping to understand and find a resolution – mistakes happen and maybe he just misread our booking. Had there been an acknowledgement of the error and genuine empathy to find a possible resolution – then we would have been relatively understanding, though still unhappy that our booking had not been honoured and left with an issue of not enough space for our family. But incredibly what I got was an immediate and offensive attack and defensiveness over the phone, blaming us and booking.com for the issue (clearly, it was neither). The lack of accountability for the issue, and the belligerent disregard for anything resembling customer service was astounding, and the like of which I have never experienced before in hospitality. There were no other rooms available, and Graham was more interested in laying blame elsewhere than recognising the problem was in his own management. He hung up on us, leaving us to cram 5 people into one small room. We won’t be returning, and we offer other travellers due warning, but I doubt that Graham cares.

Great location and the owners were lovely, comfy bed and great shower

The beds were comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Close to shops. And the hospital. The Room was a bit old looking but very clean. So we were happy with the stay. And would stay there again if needed.

Clean comfortable rooms in a good location.
