Stoke Place Hotel

I parked inside the property and they gave me a ticket. I’m going trough all this emails with Travelocity to get my refund from €35 that I was wrongly charged. Very disappointing. My air conditioner wasn’t working and I have to swap room twice. They touch my stuff without my permission and left some stuff in the other room and I have to be searching for my stuff. They gave me a complementary breakfast but the fact that they gave me a ticket took away the breakfast. I’m very disappointed with this hotel.

The reception areas and grounds were beautifully kept. The room was a little tired and the ceilings in the bathroom were particularly low - anyone over 5ft 5 might struggle to stand in the bath to use the shower. But the bed linen was spotless and the bed itself extremely comfy. I slept well and heard minimal noise from other guests and from the surrounding area. Would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel. Very nice grounds. The staff especially were excellent. Polite, accommodating and professional.

Beautiful old hotel. Stunning grounds, which were very well kept. Staff in restaurants and reception extremely helpful, polite and efficient. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the furniture in the bedroom needed a bit of tlc. I found rubbish in my bedroom from the previous occupant and quite a lot of dust. There was water on the first night, we stayed 5, despite requesting twice it never got replaced. The only toiletry was hand soap which was also to be used as body wash and shampoo. There was tea and coffee but only one tea bag for two people and this was never replaced during the 5 days even though I requested this. Overall a beautiful hotel with wonderful grounds but I feel the housekeeping and upkeep of the bedrooms let it down.

The noise of the plumbing kept us awake after midnight on our last evening. They were attempting to fix leaks in the pipes. This is a listed property and the plumbing will always be problematic but it is a wonderful estate.

Really nice place, we’ll be back.

Everything was fabulous

Noisy, tired, damp smell, staff good, beds uncomfortable, food limited & expensive for what you got.

Stayed here for one night as it was close to Windsor/Legoland. Excellent service and beautiful location. Loved the lake and garden area.
