Harbourside Terraces

Well when we arrived at the terrace we couldn’t find the address so rang and was told we had been moved because of a maintenance issue, so we were moved to the chiffly apartments, which were amazing and great location one street behind the wharf.

When we arrived we were told we would have to pay for parking even though our original accommodation included parking, when we queried this we were given our parking for free, so not really a bad thing but if we hadn’t enquired maybe would have had to pay.

Keyless entry and on site parking make this property a great option for regional work travel when it is not always possible to collect keys during reception hours. Will definitely stay here on future trips to Newcastle.

It was a little difficult to find - location on Google maps approx. 400m from property.

Great location and beautiful apartment.

It was on the waterfront.

According to the photos we assumed we had a waterfront apartment which we didn’t. Could not get the air conditioner to work, there were no instructions for anything. Balcony was covered in dried bird poop and railings were covered in black mould. Bedroom window (floor to near ceiling and was second story) had no screen, lock was non existent and would not close properly. Bathroom window screen was torn and both screen and window glass were filthy. Window was open and could not be closed as winder was broken. Kitchen window in closed position and couldn’t be opened as winder was broken, both screen and window glass were filthy. Let the agent know about the air conditioner and balcony, they sent someone out and showed us how to get the air conditioning going and made a sort of attempt to clean the bird poop and mould. We were in apartment 102b.

I liked how close the apartment was to the city.

The internet didn’t work, tv wasn’t able to street, lights in the living room were too dim. White light was annoying, there was no blankets so we could be comfy on the couch. Wifi was a big issue.

Wifi basically non existent. Watched a movie for 20 min and reached download limit! No coathangers One glass
