Regency Rambla Design Apart Hotel

Nice location on the river in what appeared to be a very good area of Montevideo. This was a perfect stopover on our way back home to Buenos Aires from a vacation in Punta del Diablo. The hotel was very clean and the staff was completely professional. Additionally, the continental breakfast was much more than we anticipated and set us up perfectly for trip back home. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent facilities and service. Location is good if you have a car or wish to use taxis. It's at least 3 blocks to the nearest bus stop and 5 or 6 blocks to any restaurant or grocery store - although the walk past beautiful homes in a very safe neighborhood is very enjoyable.

This was my third stay in this hotel and it never ceases to deliver. Service is great, breakfast is adequate and the location is fab – not in the centre of MDV but in Carrasco which is a quieter district with cafes, bars and supermarkets nearby. It doesn’t cost much to get a taxi in the centre of MDV if you need to.

This is a very smart hotel. It is in the neighbourhood of Carrasco, which has a variety of shops, banks, and restaurants. It has some great views and if you want a beach holiday away from the hub-bub it is perfect. Do not stay here if you want a 'city' break - it is a long way into the city centre and the old city. However there is a comfortable bus that takes you into town for 30 pesos (D1). Alternatively there is a local bus that takes a lot longer and costs 20 pesos (105). Taxis are a third option. Be sure you get the room that you paid for - my confirmation promised a room with balcony and sea view. The first room I was given had neither, and nor did the second room. I was told that they had rooms with a balcony OR sea view but none of these were available. Eventually I was upgraded but I remain annoyed by the experience. I had to insist on getting what I had paid for which I felt was very out of order. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast is good - jams, pastries, bread to toast, cheese, ham, coffee, juices, yoghurts etc. They offer bicycles to rent (apparently - I cannot confirm this) and a bus tour of the city. If you want to stay seated on a bus and be driven to various sights around the city, then this is the tour for you. Staff are helpful and pleasant.

We had a wonderful vacation at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful (special thanks to Pablo). Breakfast was VERY good. Thank you!!! We will certainly return and recommend this hotel. Note: Please, make sure you contact the hotel if your party is more than 2 persons.

Modern clean efficiently run. Reasonably priced. You can't do better than this Hotel

Rude, unfriendly and unhelpful people. he hotel is in the middle of nowhere and has no restaurant - i walked 4 miles and couldnt find a restaurant to eat. Had to settle for a sandwich from an Esso garage. Avoid this one!.

Indeed very nice hotel away from the citiy's noise. I would advise you this hotel if you have available car. However you can take hotel's bikes and go around altough you need to be quite fit if you want to go (and come back) to the downtown. But I wasn't happy that our room had quite bad cigarette odour and child bike seat that we got wasn't safe. However, I would choose this hotel again.

I Strongly recommend this hotel. Very friendly staff, clean and new rooms, nice breakfast, good heating system, good location. Nothing negative to say. We'll be staying here again if we go to Montevideo.

This is a nice hotel right across the street from the beach. It's modern and smaller hotel. Security is great and employees were wonderful, special thanks to Pablo for a great visit to Montevideo. It's convenient to the airport, but the downtown area of Montevideo is a 10-15 min taxi ride.
