Regency Rambla Design Apart Hotel

not very comfortable bed

Breakfast was great. Room was clean. In a residential neighborhood, so not a lot of stores and restaurants near by.

Friendly staff, a bit awkward to access amenities. lots of channels on TV but flaky reception. Flaky internet. Renovations on the garage made car filthy and they would not help.

Convenient location between airport and old town montevideo. Lovely location along water, with beautiful drive along the Rambla to city center. New and clean rooms. Friendly front desk staff. Parking in basement garage a bit tight but free and fine for the usual compact rental car.

Had a wonderful time in Montevideo, the hotel was perfect. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff was great too. I would definitely stay here again. My only thing against it, is I would add a little workout room.

This hotel has wonderful staff who are friendly and who were very helpful when we needed advice for transportation as well as suggestions for what to do around town. The hotel is right across the street from the beaches and the Rambla and has a very convenient bus (in the front) that takes you the the interior of Montevideo at a very reasonable price. So staying here gives you the outside-the-city, near-the-beaches experience and still be minutes from the heart of the city where there is lots to do and see. The buffet breakfast is loaded with yummy fruits,breads and cheeses - a European/Uruguayan meld of deliciousness. The coffee was great and always there was warm milk to add which is my new favorite. They have complimentary bikes available although they are not that well maintained. The first day we borrowed them we had no problems but the second time, I made 4 attempts to ride out only to have the chains fall off every time. So we went to the beach instead with complimentary chairs, towels and umbrellas. Also check your chair before you go because they as well suffer from wear and tear, I got to the beach with mine only to have the back not lock into the upright position. So that was annoying. But Montevideo and the surrounds are incredible. It is safe, the people are genuinely warm and friendly and anywhere you stay in Uruguay is worth it.

We had 2 rooms. They had no pricing available in the room. we gave 3 shorts, 2 tshirts and 1 jean on our room and were charged 95 dollars. our son gave 2 jeans 2 tshirts 2 pcs of underwear they charged him 66 dollards. when we complained they just said it was not them it was an outside service. We spoke to the manager and he excused himself bu saying they do not make any profit. we paid 100 dollars per night for a room and 155 dollars for few pieces of laundry. THIEVES, plain robbery DO NOT USE THE LAUNDRY SERVICE

Great hotel for it's value. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place is cose to the city center of Carrasco where you can dine and shop.
