Regency Rambla Design Apart Hotel

Opposite beach which is good but if you prefer the pool very small as is the seating area. Our room was ver comfortable with a nice terrace we were there for only one night but for us or anyone staying longer two loungers on the terrace and two comfortable chairs in the room would have been nice. Bath too small impossible to use it would be better to just have a good walking shower.

This small hotel on the Rambla in Montevideo is outside the city proper and therefore not as noisy as downtown. I emphasize small because the Expedia photo makes it look much larger than it is. We rented the three bedroom unit, which is a combination of two units: a single bedroom and a bedroom/living room combo. Each of the beds were comfortable, a "king" (two singles put together) in one room and two singles in the other, plus a convertible sofa in the living room. There's a small refigerator, a microwave and a minibar in the LR and another minibar in the first bedroom. There are also two full bathrooms with this configuration. Overall this combo worked well for our family of five. Unfortunately there was a smell of urine noticeable in the LR and one bedroom. Not clear if it was from the LR, a bedroom or a bathroom. The staff were friendly, accommodating and fluent enough in English to answer questions, help with reservations, etc. The night desk clerk especially was wonderful. The pool was dirty, with a slimy bottom and murky water. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. The Rambla allows walking, running and biking from right across the street.

The staff was incredibly helpful with some last minute printing needs that came up. They also lent us an adaptor for our plugs as we had forgotten ours.

Nice hotel in front of the beach. Keep in mind that there's a busy street right in front of the hotel also. Hotel provides free bicycles that you can use to ride along the beach or go to nearby restaurants. Good place for the family with breakfast included. Nice hotel staff. Rooms are modern and kept clean.

Perfect place to crash near the airport after a long flight. The room was relaxing, cool, clean and serene.

The hotel is very nice, and staff are highly professional. Always trying to help customers. It is located in a very nice area, front facing the Promenade (La Rambla) with beautiful views of the River. Outstanding sightings of the Sunset and sunrise, just crossing the Road. Carpark for free, inside the hotel!!!! Breakfast is just ok, with the basics covered, although will not match some other better sourced hotels. Rooms: Spacious, clean. Very comfortable. Only gripe: I stayed with my wife. Bed was Queen size, but it had fitted 2 mattress side by side (single size each of them). This resulted in a big hole in the middle, making it very uncomfortable.

The hotel is modern and up to date in amenities. Having a kitchenette in the room was a great bonus. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful in getting us taxis and suggesting restaurants for supper. Bicycles were available and made use of the to ride the Rambla.

No hassle check inn. Personal very efficient and caring Paula made breakfast every morning a nice experience and a pleasure to wake up to such a relaxing atmophere

Everything was great except for breakfast that really needs improvement. The area is too small, the variety is very limited.
