Great location, no need for a car, right on the beach and close to shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely hosts who were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Definitely recommended 😀👍🏻
Very enjoyable Lovely room, good food and good location for getting around.
This B&B is very traditional; however what it lacks in trendy decor is more than made up for by the superb personal service and warm welcome provided by Mandy and Malcolm, who are consumate hosts. The small but priceless touches such as free chilled filtered water and fruit available all day in the dining area set this BnB a cut above the rest.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Briars Hotel. Management could not do enough for us. The breakfast was fantastic.
3 night stay to enable us to catch up with friend in Devon. Lovely clean, bright hotel with very friendly, polite, helpful owners. Lovely room, but at the very top of three floors which was a few too many stairs for us! Breakfast was superb & nothing too much trouble. Would definitely stay again - but would request room on lower floor.

Had a very enjoyable week staying at the Briars. The magnificent view across Torbay from room 10 was well worth the climb of 43 steps from the breakfast room. We explored the area totally by public transport - bus, train, steam train and ferry - no need for a car. The only downside was the very unreliable WIFi.
