"Excellent restaurant"

10.0

Lovely village hotel/restaurant/bar south of Le Mans. Good sized hotel rooms in an annexe to the restaurant with a small parking area of its own. An excellent restaurant with a good choice of value for money set menus and local wines on offer. The couple who run it clearly love what they do and want to care for their guests in whatever way they can.

"Quiet village auberge"

8.0

Lovely room, excellent food but not cheap. Very French! Not advisable if you have no French as the staff have very little English but if you are adventurous give it a go! Handy for the trek from northern ports to Limousin etc

"A hidden gem"

10.0

We really enjoyed our stay here. The landlady was very friendly and helpful and we had all we needed in our room. The food in the restaurant was superb. We stayed midweek, yet every table was full. The location was very convenient for us as it was in a small easily located village.

"Relaxed stay"

10.0

Great stop-over which would be good for a longer break, say in the summer, as it has a pool and the surrounding countryside looks interesting. Our room was very adequate with the star attraction of a kettle and Earl Grey teabags! The evening meal was excellent as the proprietor is a Maître-Cusinier but it was not too lavish or rich and although we were the only resident guests ( mid-Jan) the locals came in to eat which is always a good sign - friendly, not fussy atmosphere. Again the breakfast was good and well presented, Worth a further stay for us,

"the best overnight stay"

10.0

This hotel is lovely. When we arrived, the owner came out to welcome us. The room was clean, and they had put a cot for our toddler. The staff was very friendly and looking after us very well. It was lovely coming to this hotel to have a nice relaxing time after a long travelling day. Thanks a lot!!! We will surely be coming back and will recommend this hotel.

"Welcoming"

10.0

We arrived at this hotel after a long drive and even though our French is very limited we received a very warm welcome and sat in the sun having a beer. The room was clean and comfortable, the evening meal was excellent and then we took a bottle of wine to a raised area of the garden by the swimming pool and sat in a swimming hammock watching the stars - it was a very pleasant stay.

"Dog and vegetarians welcome"

10.0

We stayed overnight on our way from Suffolk to Bordeaux. The hotel is very sweet in a lovely location. As vegetarians we struggle to eat in French hotels but they were very happy to cook us and lovely cheese omelette and frites which was really appreciated after a long journey. The dog was very welcome too.

"Well worth a visit"

We stayed in a triple room, which was delightful. There was TV and tea and coffee making facilities and it had everything you required. You are made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
