We stayed 5 nights recently at this wonderful, small boutique hotel in Cartagena. It is perfectly located to provide easy walking access to most things in the old city, and although it is only a few steps from a very busy plaza that serves as an active gathering place for local families, it remains blissfully quiet. With only 5 rooms or so, it is very comfortable and with the small rooftop pool mentioned in other reviews, it is a lovely respite at the end of busy day touring. The real strength of Casa Santa Ana however, are the staff in place. A wonderful team lead by a talented administrator named Maria Jose who would go to virtually any length to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. We were lucky to have discovered this hideaway and highly recommend it.

Only there for 10 hours. Room and bathroom were both very nice, but service was lacking. No water available in room in a city in which you cannot drink the tap water. Three bottles of water in the minifridge were frozen solid (unclear if free or not). When we arrived to check in around 10:30pm, the night manager couldn't find our reservation, then tried to have me fill out and sign a form for a reservation for multiple days at a later point in the month with someone else's name on it. Took a while to resolve, but was all fine in the end.

Real boutique hotel in the middle of the action. Super nice and efficient staff. Room was very quaint, quiet and comfy. A dream’s stay.

We stayed in their suite, which was really comfortable! Private rooftop pool and great breakfast were a plus! The neighborhood is lively but not loud with lots of food/drink options. Would definitely recommend :)

This sweet casa was my home base for the weekend. I highly recommend staying here in the Getsemani neighborhood — it’s far enough (15min walk) from the extra touristy Old City but right at the center of a vibrant, safe and fun area. The welcoming staff were very attentive. Breakfast was delicious. Two tips: it is noisy in the streets (at least a Friday and Saturday nights when I was there) so bring earplugs to sleep. Also, the hotel offers a airport shuttle but charges a 300% markup! Take a taxi instead for 2,000 COP (around $4.25 USD)

Wonderful boutique hotel, beautifully done, wonderful staff and service. Great location for walking anywhere, made from scratch breakfast. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars as we had no hot water for 1.5 days. Highly recommend staying here.
