Hotel Presidente

Enjoyable stay, I would return. Hotel clean and modern, staff very friendly. Shower excellent, A/C very powerful- pass me my jumper. I like Philippines 10 entertainment on bottom floor, very high quality acts. The drinks are very cheap with the hotel card discount. Outdoor pool area is beautiful and anyone who likes to lie around the pool all day this is your hotel. Why did I not give it 5/5? Breakfast quality just OK sometimes queues at the counters (lack of staff), pleased I didn't go HB, room safe extra money, no iron in room, toiletries not replenished, pool towels extra money. I was also informed that a cup of ice (no drink) is extra, I burst out laughing at this. So its worthy of 4.5 / 5 but I can't give that. I would recommended it and stay here again if you want to be close to the strip.

Went for 10 days the Presidente Hotel was in the centre of Benidorm the best rooms were facing the Pool due to road and noise, The bed was very big, bathroom was a nice size shower was very powerful towels and bedding was changed at least 3 times during our stay there was a fridge in the room also a kettle and coffee and tea also cups an saucers, The Restaurant was spotless and a very good variety of food and all the staff were very good, there are around 160 sun beds and they can soon fill up swimming pool was well maintained and water tested regularly, Large beers were 2 Euros a pint till 8pm at night, the music in the street’s didn’t stop till around 3am in the morning. we enjoyed our stay, Thank You to all the Staff.

We were a little pessimistic before we travelled because of the reviews but shouldn't have worried ourselves, perfect hotel for us in a great location with Philippines10 literally by the restaurant on the lower ground floor, food was surprisingly excellent particularly the pastas and themed nights, plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch similarly and the evening meal always had something available we really enjoyed, staggered by the drinks prices in the restaurant with glasses of wine from as little as €1.60 and bottles starting at about €5, no real criticism at all with the food and I'd put it on par with a decent cruise buffet, glad we opted for full board although the usual poolside food offerings were also very reasonably priced both the drinks and food. Travelled towards the end of September and the weather was pretty much mid twenties all week which was perfect for us, very few children at the hotel which suited us given we wanted a quietish week, had to go down around 8.30 to put the towels down which was a shame but when in Rome and all that. Room was cleaned every day and towels replaced, safe was €20 for week, air-conditioning was good as was the selection of TV channels, stayed in room 303 with pool view which was perfect for us and heard nothing from anywhere once we were in our room, it looks like they've soundproofed the rooms on the refurb. All in all a splendid week away and would definitely return to Benidorm to stay at the Presidente, final word goes to the shows in Philippines10 particularly The Greatest Showman which was outstanding and is a must see if you visit Benidorm.

Food was not good except for the tapas bowl of lasagna on Wednesday evenings. We stayed 10 nights & in approximately 5 days asparagus soup was on, potatoes were bland & some weren't cooked properly, quite repetitive with similar choices each day/night. Nicest part of breakfast was scrambled egg. We found the waiters very hard working but not very friendly or smiley. That does NOT include Antonio behind the bar in the restaurant who was always smiling & had a great sense of humour the lady Maitre D was always pleasant too. The pool area is a little crammed & not enough beds unless you got there early. There was a notice given out 1 morning if you left bed unattended for over 40mins they would put your belongings behind the pool bar, not once did we see it implemented. Our room was kept clean by Bianca who was very pleasant & worked hard. A good thing was discount at some bars on showing your key card.

Lovely hotel, nice staff Very clean Downside need to start queuing at 8 for a sunbed! Pool opens at half 8.... I came down at 10 past 8 & Q was long! Not a lot off sunbeds on offer & most in shade, so if you want a good spot ? Best believe you need to join the Q at 8 🙃

Wow just wow, you ask for a menu to view prices of drinks, the reply my 7 year old,daughter could have done better with. If they were my staff member they would be sacked instantly. The reply was you can view one when you arrive. No thanks love. Then they charge for ice where in the world does a bar charge you for ice, I can see why this hotel is slipping slowly down the rankings it used to be one of the top resorts, H10 service is a 100 x better oh and to heat the Pool from the 20th November is a joke to when saying its heated in winter

Stayed at the Presidente for the third time over a number of years. Booked through Jet2 as a package. We asked for a room close to the lift which we were given and was really helpful. We did try to add on family members to our booking but unfortunately the hotel was full so they stayed close by instead. This is one of the more expensive hotels but the room was lovely as always and we had a nice view onto the street. There were a few issues which I wouldn’t expect from a hotel with such a high star rating. Mobility scooter charging - the only hotel we’ve ever stayed at that charges you to charge your scooter ! We’ve stayed in numerous hotels and have never been charged before, 2 euro for a bit of charge seems excessive given the cost of our stay. Mobility scooter choice - you have no choice but to use Amigo 24. It’s not our first choice as their scooters always seem to be old and pretty beaten up but the Presidente only allows you to use this company at their hotel which is a shame. Air conditioning in the rooms - Out air conditioning was set at 24 degrees and couldn’t be changed to any lower. The room was uncomfortably warm and I spoke to reception who said that’s how it was, set at this temperature for every room. This is despite the communal areas all being lovely and cool. When paying so much for your holiday you should be able to choose your room temperature not have it dictated to you. This really lets the hotel down and made our stay unpleasant. It was on average 31 degrees most of our stay and not much cooler inside the room. Our family members were in a nearby hotel which is graded lower but they were able to have a lovely cool room which we couldn’t. I also mentioned this to the Jet2 rep who said she’d speak to reception but I knew they wouldn’t do anything as they’d already told me it was set to 24 degrees. Tea and coffee - there’s a weekly charge to have your tea, coffee etc in your room refilled which is a shame as most hotels offer this free as standard. Unfortunately I don’t think we will return for a fourth visit here. There’s hotels just as nice which cater to your needs and don’t charge for every little thing which you’d expect to be included in the price you pay to stay at the Presidente

Very accommodating, food was delicious and the rooms were very clean

This was our second visit to this wonderful hotel, standards, despite what some reviews say are still as high as ever. We even had the same room as last year 708, with its pool and sea view. Spotlessly clean as usual. The food again was at it's very best, certainly no complaints from us. Friendly reception staff ensured we were given a late check out room, this was provided without charge. We weren't flying till 22.10. Situated on the same floor as reception we were given what looked to me like a normal room. There was no time limit on how long we could use it, this meant we could enjoy a full day of sunbathing on our last day. I personally will be back next year... Why would you go anywhere else?

Superb hotel, great atmosphere around the pool. Majority of staff are friendly and welcoming, just a male worker that sometimes worked the pool bar that clearly needed a career move but that didn’t dampen our stay. Food in the restaurant is brilliant. Already booked for next September.
