Hotel Plaza Playa - Near Playa del Carmen Main Beach

Very nice and clean hotel. It's located about 10-15 min from the beach. Close by, less then 1 min, lots of good restaurants, a small market with fresh fruits, veggies, meat and other staff, also a big supermarket. Around 2 -3 blocks away, ADO station to Cancun airport, the bus doesn't stop there in the way to Plays. Hotel has AC, TV with cable channels, small fridge. It provides bottle water. It doesn't include breakfast, we bought some staff on the market or supermarket, and had delicious breakfast in the room. You can also buy a breakfast next door care for 80 pesos (4.5$). Would recommend.

This hotel is in town in a good neighborhood about a fifteen minute walk (pleasant) from the sea. The owners are lovely, pleasant hosts that take a significant interest in your comfort. The beds are great and the room is clean and well-maintained. We will stay here again when in Playa. Very good lodging value. Thanks Ziegfrieto (sp) Kris Johnson Michigan

Nice place to stay if you don't mind a little walk to the beach. Super clean and a great value.

Not a bad area to stay in. A few blocks up from and main drag, and maybe 6-8 blocks over from the "City Centre". Beds are nice, room is clean. Location isn't bad if you like to walk a bit. Big complaint was the delivery trucks across the street. They back up and down the street with the backup beepers going none-stop at about 5-5:30am....I had read about this issue before but didn't believe it till I saw it. It maybe lasted like an hour and then it was better again. If you dont mind a bit of noise, then other then that it is a nice budget place.

Was pleasantly surprised as per some of the negative comments previouly posted. Only positive experiences with me. Wouldn't think twice about returning back there. Breakfast at Cafe d'Arte attached to hotel offers an amazing quality start of day, only 70pesos for hotel guests. The two bottles of water each day left in the room by the maid was appreciated,, along with large water bottle dispensers allowing refills was great too. Very impressed by the telephone call from an Expedia Concierge to offer an airport return shuttle as well as an excursion tour , both of which I took and was impressed with. The tour was to Tulum Express Tour. Enjoyed being away ( 5 blocks ) from 5th Avenue. The hotel is closer to local neighborhoods which offered more diversity and cheaper prices in both retail and restaurants establisments, which was kool. 5th Avenue is a tourists trap to be avoided as far as i am concerned, overrated and expensive, My only beach day was spent at the Inti Holistic Beach Club, which I thoroughly enjoyed and strongly recommend the Ceviche (Peruvian style) for lunch. If you want to wander and shop at airport before departure strongly recommend ordering your shuttle a least four or five prior to time of departure. Almost forgot other small shops that adds to the plaza of the hotel plaza including pastry shop for your sweet tooth, a spa for women, as well as a laundry service drop off service. There is a big box store "Mega" a block away, cheap prices on take out food too

It was indeed very nice to stay there. Good cost benefit as mentioned. I think it was clean and calm.

The hotel looked good but there were many problems with the amenities. Disappointing.

The hotel is great,especially the price.but the noise is terrible,not any fault of the hotel, but the produce distributing and market right opposite,constant noise of large trucks and workers almost 24/7.I feel so bad for the owners who are great people,without the noise it would have been 100% and perfect for my next stay in Playa again.

Room was clean and very big, quiet and had parking. The breakfast buffet was Spectacular!

This is a nice and very clean hotel within walking distance to the beach and to lots of restaurants and shopping. There is a large supermarket only a block away. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. There is a nice breakfast buffet right next to the hotel that is very inexpensive and the food is very good. I stayed for 2 weeks and really enjoyed my experience. There is a small refrigerator in each room and there is Internet access in the lobbies. The price is very reasonable and I think it is a more enjoyable experience than staying at some fancy resort hotel.
