Rockvale House

The hosts were exceptionally friendly and went over and above to accommodate our needs. The room and house were very clean and comfortable. It was convenient to be right in the centre of town for shops and restaurants and yet extremely quiet. The breakfast was formal, with traditional white table covers and lovely china and served by the hosts so we were made to feel special. We only stayed one night but very happy with our choice as it was so comfortable.

I missed having decaffeinated tea bags/coffee sachets in the room although there were some herbal teas which I had instead so not too much of a problem.

Very pleasant stay, made extremely welcome and hosts couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast excellent. Comfy room. Would definitely stay again.

Steep access road, just about ok for motorcycles, do some research before you go.

The owners were very friendly and took the time to welcome me on arrival and chat about local restaurants etc. My room was beautifully decorated and colour coordinated, with superb paintings on the wall. Huge comfy bed with nice bed linen, powerful shower. Good breakfast with homemade bread, preserves etc, and friendly owners who are consummate professionals at what they do.

There was nothing I disliked, although I prefer a walk in shower rather than a shower over the bath. The steep hill down to the Main Street may be difficult for those with limited mobility.

Das Haus liegt an einem Rang und ist idealer Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten innerhalb und außerhalb von Lynton. Das Gastgeberehepaar ist herzlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Insbesondere das individuell nach Wünschen zubereitete Frühstück ist erwähnenswert. Wir können diese Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Perfect location, with all the main attractions and the town centre within easy walking distance. Ness and Phil were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the property itself is full of character and charm. Everything was perfect, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

It’s up a short steep hill, but pretty much everywhere in Lynton is!

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Phil und Ness sind wunderbare Gastgeber – herzlich, aufmerksam und sehr sympathisch.. Das Frühstück war ein echtes Highlight: hausgemachte Marmeladen, selbst gebackenes Brot, leckeres Müesli mit Früchten und vieles mehr. Man spürt die Leidenschaft und Gastfreundschaft in jedem Detail. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Die Gastgeber waren sehr liebenswert und gastfreundlich. Das Frühstück wurde in einem tollen Ambiente serviert und es gab keine Kritikpunkte.
