Rockvale House

Host and Hostess were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, including homemade granola, homemade marmalade, homemade jam and bread! Not forgetting the cooked option too which was delicious. Eggs cooked to perfection! Room (2) was a good size, TV was a good size too (usually B&Bs have tiny TVs for some reason), bed was massive and so comfortable! Large wardrobe plenty of space for luggage so next time will Come on the bike as there's room for helmets etc! Shower is good, bath robes, hair dryer and fan along with extra blankets all available in the room. Tea and coffee making facilities, with fresh milk available in the fridge on the stairs. Location is great as it is tucked away, but is at the top of a steep drive.

Very friendly hosts. Comfortable king size bed, slept so soundly. Breakfast was exceptional with the hosts being very attentive. Would definitely recommend. 😊

Not a dislike but it is up a hill if walking is an issue.

Phil and Ness were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were fabulous, especially the bread, jam, marmalade and the hollandaise sauce ,all homemade by Ness. Our King size room was perfect. Very comfortable bed. The little touches of a chocolate and bottled water was a nice little extra. As was the fridge for guests which is topped up with fresh milk daily. There is a lovely well stocked bar and a delightful lounge room to sit quietly ,all well decorated with a light ,airy feel. Perfect. Nothing is to much trouble for the delightful hosts. We would definitely come back again. Totally recommend with a huge 10/10!

Warm room (not all our other places this year could say the same this Easter) with view and mini balcony! Very friendly owners. Delightful breakfast setup. Attentive to diet needs. 2 courses and home made jam, etc

Very neat, quiet, quaint, and orderly... Lovely if you like that kind of thing.

It was ideally situated with stunning views. Phil and Ness were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
