"Very comfortable and relaxing stay."

The hotel is in a great location for an overnight stop or on the A1. The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly on reception, and the beds were comfortable. Great bathroom. The pool and spa area is really lovely.

Some areas are looking tired and in need of a refresh.

"Comfortable hotel in commanding position near to Clumber Park"

The position of the hotel, near to Clumber Park, is excellent. There is good parking availability, and a nice area to sit outside for a drink or a meal. Room 22 was large, well furnished and clean. Supper was satisfactory, and bar staff very helpful. Breakfast was in a very pleasant conservatory style area and the choice was extensive. Overall it was satisfactory for a one night stay.

The hotel is under new management since our last stay here. The evening meal menu was pretty limited, especially for a vegetarian. Although our bedroom had been fairly well prepared, no towels had been left. I went to reception about this, and was given a set to carry back myself. Quite a lot of refurb work is required in some areas.

Location

Miserable reception and rude. Broken tv. Stained bed sheets. Breakfast disorganised. Limited towels for showers. Noise road - and noisey wedding guests shouting in corridor very late at night. Sticky bar tables. No cash !!
