Burnie Ocean View Motel and Caravan Park

The staff were friendly.

The cabin smelt like cigarette smoke, the shower dripped, the bathroom exhaust fan did not work, the toilet cistern had issues and refilled every 15 min, making very loud water rushing sounds and pipes banged and clanged all night.

The cabin had every cooking equipment and utensils. The bed was great and the shower was hot.

Location and access for the Racecar Transporter . Close to the Ferry Terminal and Town centre. Nice beach and view of Bass Straight.

The 2 bedroom apartment was large and well cleaned. The rooms were large and the TV pre programed. The pool was warm until about 7pm which was disappointing as the kids wanted a swim after dinner. The single beds were comfortable and the blankets and sheets clean and comfy. Extra towels provided for swimming. Parking was easy and right at the door. Staff were lovely and friendly and happy to help. Lovely beach to walk on straight across the road. Should have been able to see penguins but some other rude guests decided to run screaming down the beach at dusk. No smoking which is great news. Across the carport was a nice big bin which made it easy. Towels were clean.

The promised vending machine at the office was empty. The pool was open until 10pm but the heat turned off when we went at 7pm. The Queen bed wasn't comfy (very hard) but plenty of blankets and clean sheets. 1 pillow each is not enough. Please provide more. The upstairs neighbours were very loud and banged stuff around even when i asked them nicely at 10pm to quiet down a bit. TV very small and local channel only. Time to upgrade to streaming or chromecast? The dryer was $5 for 45 minutes. No food or shops anywhere close - had to order uber Eats for dinner. Location is right on the highway. Night noise wasnt too bad but the lights were - some light blocking blinds would be amazing. The soap/washing stuff was cheap and not great.
