The Peacock Hotel

I often stay in the area midweek for work and always pick this hotel if they have space. Great location on the edge of town with onsite parking. The staff are friendly offering recommendation for the local area. The rooms are good value, clean & comfortable beds. Good Wi-Fi connection in every rooms I’ve stayed in. It must be very difficult for an independent hotel like this in the current climate but they’re doing a great job upgrading the rooms when they can. Will be staying again

Good location and resturant on site

• Room was largely as expected for the price, albeit small. • Had to bang the door lock to make the key card work most times • The hair dryer sparked inside when I used it • Was charged a different amount for continental breakfast than what the menu said • Actually quite difficult to find out about breakfast, nothing on website, no menus posted up, etc, had to ask for one • Food in the restaurant was excellent, had dinner there. However it was a shame that the dining room is so clinical (too bright and cold-feeling – not so much the temperature as the décor); there was linen on the tables in the adjacent room, but no one seemed to be allowed to eat in there even though it looked nicer. • 2 restaurants were mentioned on the website, but there was no evidence of this in the hotel and if you click on the Townhouse bar & grill menu, you get the same one as for Raffles • Staff seemed nice, even if overall the stay was a little disappointing I did email them with the issues before I left this review but they did not reply

The facilities are all very clean and the staff are friendly and obliging. Coming down to breakfast early, because I confused the days, I was served directly by a very helpful man before the chef was available, and it ensured that I was in good time for appointments. The layout of the rooms within the hotel is convoluted, but I was readily provided with help in bringing equipment downstairs, and my case was safely stored on the day of my departure until I could collect it. The hotel restaurant is worth checking for its lovely cuisine. The room was comfortable and had everything provided as mentioned in the details.

Were told breakfast was at 7am went down then told 7.30 am then told he was ringing the chef to see where she was couldn’t wait only got 50 per cent refund.Asked for extra duvet told none available.Waited nearly half an hour to be served at the bar with only one person in front of me.Drop the name peacock should be Faulty towers won’t be staying there again.

Great hotel as a base to visit Stratford

Great stay mid week for work. The hotel has a good location on the edge of town with parking at the rear for the hotel. Rooms are comfortable with strong free WiFi connection. Will be staying again

Very comfortable bed, albeit the room was a little on the small size. Bathroom very clean, although the shower was a little temperamental. Very courteous and obliging staff. Extremely reasonable price for a Christmas stay. Thank you, everyone!

They did not give us a queen bed did not accept American Express the room was outside with noises from the room next door. In general I will not use this hotel ever

Liked cleanliness and the superior room. Did not like , at checkin . Reception talking on the phone and as we arrived changed from.English to a language we couldnt understand.
