The Bear Inn and Burwash Motel

Phoned to confirm booking and told: we are without chef; no dinner, no breakfast. No remote for tv no aircon. No milk with tea and coffee supplies which were inadequate anyway.

Nice location, clean room friendly staff.

Things to improve TV remote missing (stolen) it happens so a back up instruction sheet to use the buttons on the back of the TV would be useful. Main light in bedroom not working Kitchen Closed, and not advised of this a Check In when it would have been easier to make alternative plans.

Excellent location in Burwash. Bed linen was clean and fresh.

Ceiling lights did not work, nor did the stand light so there was only one bedside light I could use. Couple of big moths flying around. The bathroom window didn’t secure shut. Quite stuffy too. No AC so fans should be provided when it’s hot outside. The bed has had its day, needs replacing

The room was ready. Location to car park very good.

Only 1 milk between 2 people. No TV remote, the last people took it home, we had to ask where it was. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. We ran the hot tap in the bathroom sink for a while but no hot water. The room would benefit from a net curtain as it opens onto the communal garden. The heavy curtains need to be closed to get any privacy.

We were very apprehensive about booking another stay with booking.com after the last accommodation wasnt fit to stay in and still months later trying to get refunded as waant livable for anyone but this one exceeded our expectations. The rooms are clean and tidy. Nice size within, draws and wardrobe for clothes, tea and coffee facilities. Staff couldn't be more help and the views alone are worth every penny. The area is so peaceful, small shop across the road which has everything you could need and more. Highly recommended and we wont think twice about visiting again

For me the bed wasnt as firm but I have back issues where as my partner slept perfectly. Could hear next door snoring but only as I kept waking due to health issues otherwise i wouldnt have.
