Hidden Lodge Queenstown

We absolutely loved our stay at The Hidden Lodge. From the moment you walk in, you instantly feel relaxed. One of the things we appreciated most was that it’s not packed with rooms or lots of other guests, which creates a much more peaceful and intimate environment. You can unwind in the main living room and enjoy a different atmosphere, all while keeping that same sense of calm. Our room and bathroom were both generously sized, which really added to the overall comfort and relaxation. Having our own balcony to take in the stunning views was a real highlight. The location is slightly outside the main city, making it incredibly peaceful while still being accessible. The walk to and from the city is scenic and just adventurous enough to make it enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully organised — you select your meal from a menu the night before. There are additional facilities such as a hot tub and sauna. We didn’t get the chance to use them this time as we were only there for two nights, but we’ll definitely make the most of them when we return. Cleanliness is extremely important to both my friend and me (we’re clean freaks) and this was a 10/10. The rooms were immaculate and very well maintained. We can’t wait to come back. Wendy and David are wonderful hosts, and their staff (apologies for not remembering names!) are equally personable and friendly. A truly special place to stay.

部屋から、庭からの眺めが素晴らしく、ワカティブ湖を独り占めしたような感覚に。庭からの夜空の星も最高でした。 部屋は清潔で使い勝手も良く、快適でした。朝食はシンプルで手作りの卵料理ご美味しかった。オーナーご夫妻はとてもフレンドリーでいろいろと教えてくれました。とてもとてもゆったりとリラックスできました。

少しエアコンの効きが悪かったのが唯一のマイナス点です。

Our stay at Hidden Lodge was perfect. The lodge itself is in a great location, with stunning views of the mountains. Our room was very comfortable and had all the amenities we could have wanted. We also used the outdoor hot tub one night which was a great experience - would recommend! Wendy and David were the best hosts, and were more than happy to have a chat and give us some insider tips about places to see and things to do. We are so grateful for their hospitality, and will definitely stay with them again if we come back!

Amazing property with fabulous views of the lake. Very comfortable accommodation with a great breakfast and charming hosts.

Windy and David were simply amazing hosts and they made us feel more than welcome at "home" yet as guests. The lodge is truly a hidden gem and quite serene with a stunning view of the lake against the backdrop of the mountains. This was the perfect start to our honeymoon in NZD. We loved the breakfast prepared fresh each day by David - the granola and the honey was an absolute highlight! There was a cuddly cat Inza in the porch too - was hard to say goodbye to her. The room was apt and big enough to make us feel like we were enjoying "subtle luxury".

Just everything - we loved it there!
