"One of the best in La Paz."

Excellent location. Very friendly staffs. Large rooms. Very cozy and gives a vintage vibe. Excellent breakfast. Amazing staffs who are super helpful. Couldn’t have asked for better.

"A perfect stay to experience La Paz"

Incredible place!! Even though we were right in the middle of town, the place was quiet and perfect for us! Very Clean, the beds were amazing, the breakfast superb and Juan was attentive and very helpful! We will be back!

"Good spot to stay in La Paz"

Great place to stay in La Paz. Very central location in a walking distance to all main attractions. Spacious rooms, however in march it was a bit chilly. Good breakfast.

Overall everything was good, but the wifi is very slow.

"The best stay in La Paz, absolutely."

When you go to La Paz, you need a caring and proactive host. You won't get that with and Airbnb and that could be a real problem with altitude sickness. Same with "5 star" Hotels. The best bet, by far, is the family run Consulado. Add to that, it's a charming 100 year old former consulate with all the period decorations. This hotel and the owners really saved our vacation.

We couldn't stay longer, because of our itinerary only.

I will say that it looks way better in the pictures. When you take a taxi to the place, its not obvious that you're at a hotel. Everything being kinda old is fine - I'm not a snob but heaters didn't work and the toilet didn't always flush. The people working there were pretty nice though. They were cool But the hotel is near a main thoroughfare and a really good museum but its not super obvious. Honestly, if they make a bigger sign and make some facilities upgrades, this could be a hidden gem.

This place was *really* nice. Full of character while also being comfortable, clean and safe. An excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
