"Excellent hotel and staff"

10.0

We stayed here for a night on our 2 week trip around Scotland, the only thing I wish we did differently is stay longer. Lovely little village and a very nice hotel. We stayed in the annex just beside the hotel which was perfect for our small family with 2 young kids. There was plenty of room for them to play and run around to tire them out! The beds were big and comfortable and there was a cot already set up for us. We had both dinner and breakfast, both of which were excellent, the staff were great, friendly and helpful which is a big plus when you have 2 little people to keep under control!! The hotel itself is beautiful, the bar area in particular had a real welcoming/homely feel to it and the location was great with a lovely view for dinner. Would highly recommend.

The room was very comfortable. Close to the co op and local shops.

It's at the far end of town which is fine if you have a car. We were walking but being close to the CoOp was great.

"The staff were friendly and welcoming it was a great place to stay."

9.0

Our room was in the annex and was warm clean and very comfortable The lounge bar was fitting for the age of the building and felt very warm and cozy. The riverside restaurant was bright and welcoming. I loved its situation next to the riverside restaurant at the end of Killin village.

It was a little bit noisy at times as we right next to the kitchen area. Bin Lorries emptying bottles at 7.30am people moving about above us late in the night. Apart from that everything was good.

"Good place to stay when travelling with dogs"

8.0

Lovely surroundings. We stayed two (non-sequential) nights after travelling to and from Mallaig. The hotel itself is very nice. We were travelling with a dog and a baby, and so we were given one of the rooms in the annex. This is very helpful as there is no need to carry bags inside and up stairs etc. The rooms were generally in good condition. Beds were comfy and we had a good amount of room, especially the first room was particularly big. They provided a small dog bed (sadly, too small for our lump!), a bowl and some treats as well. In the second room they also kindly supplied a travel cot for the baby, which saved having to set up our own.

One of the rooms had many more signs of wear and tear - marks on the walls, stains on the carpets, the bathroom in particular quite sad. The other room was decent. I guess it's to be expected for accommodating dogs etc. We weren't very impressed with the food in the restaurant. Quite expensive for what you got.

"Suited my needs, but wouldn’t rush back. To be fair the breakfast experience was good."

5.0

Suited my needs for overnight stay during a multi day walk.

Bedroom needs some modernisation/TLC.
