Parking fees weren’t mentioned, some other small fees weren’t mentioned until check in. Asked for baby cot but they ran out the ones with mattress, although we have had informed them from very early stage.

Checked out the same night I checked in.

We came to the Gold Coast because a family member had an emergency Stage 4 cancer surgery. We had a long day and checked in late to the hotel and all we wanted was in room dining. After QR code wasn’t working to get the menu, I had to call the restaurant directly via my mobile as the technology in the hotel was not working which I was told by the restaurant staff. On top of that we couldn’t order more than half of anything on the menu as it wasn’t available for in room dining. We were told to come to the restaurant, we just wanted a relaxing night in but couldn’t get that. So we decided to check out. I spoke to reception and explained our situation and why we decided to check out and reception confirmed we will get a refund but had to contact Booking.com to arrange. After doing this, the hotel had declined our refund - we checked out because they confirmed they can do the refund, complete disaster from the moment of checking in.
