The old character of the Hall , Rooms and grounds were just as advertised.

Loved the setting. Beautiful grounds. Walled vegetable garden very well cared for. Junior staff very willing to help. Huge potential as a wonderful hotel.

Very tired building . Room very hot and noone had bothered to open any windows or pull down blinds on an extremely hot day. The receptionist, eventually when I went down twenty minutes later to check where it was, said there were no fans. She didn’t ring me. Bed uncomfortable and shower only gave out a small spray of water. Food mediocre, rather fatty with few vegetables. My salad was made up of rocket and unripe tomatoes. Junior staff need more training as having delivered the sourdough toast at breakfast , we asked him for more butter and he took away the pot containing what butter we had leaving us with nothing to spread on the rapidly cooling toast!! The whole set up needs the planned refurb urgently.

sehr, sehr gute Küche, das Dinner war hervorragend, das Frühstück sehr ausgewogen und reichhaltig, keine Wünsche sind offen geblieben. die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll und sehr gut eingerichtet, das Gelände ist sehr gepflegt und lädt zum Verweilen ein. das ganze Hotel, innen und außen, hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

das Personal zum Dinner hätte aufmerksamer sein könne (insbesondere Nachschenken beim Wein)

Ontbijt was beneden verwachting. De staf oogde weinig gemotiveerd.

Escott Hall was a standout on my UK trip, offering the largest and most comfortable room I stayed in. The beautiful historic estate with serene garden grounds made for a truly relaxing escape. Its isolated location provided peace and quiet, perfect for unwinding.

While there’s no elevator and breakfast could use some improvement, the overall experience and setting were unforgettable.

We were accommodated in an out building and not the main hotel which was very dated with dirty carpets.never again
