Byeyer Hotel Hualien

great clean hotel, good location. Probably the best hotel you can get in the Hua Lien area in terms of condition of building, as it was recently renovated. walking distance to lots of shops

My son enjoyed the free bicycle use and went round exploring the whole town while we walked and savored the recommended food lists. Missed the famous onion pancakes as only avail for short hrs. Hotel was very conveniently located and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Will visit again. Thanks!

Great location in Hualien. 10 mins walk to the Golden Triangle and just a street away from the famous Spring Onion Pancake street. Metered fare to the train station and ZiQiang nightmarket was around NT 120 from the hotel. No instances of cab drivers not knowing where the hotel was. Only downside was that we booked the Japanese Style room but was given another. No mention of the room switch by the staffs at all. Room could be much brighter.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms have no real windows. The hotel is squeezed between two other tall buildings, so the windows look into the neighboring builds' walls. The location is within walking distance to stores and a night market as well as close to the train station. For the cost, I would stay here again.

Overall this boutique hotel is good in terms of size and location. Within 8 mins walk to snack street and some shopping. Only 2 issues/ feedback - There should someone at hotel entrance to greet us and help us with the luggages. We had to carry, yes carry, our 20kg luggage up a flight of steps into the hotel. Should have at least install a ramp so guests can drag luggages up. The other feedback - Wish the dining area for our breakfast is not in a basement and yes, no lift access. No window in the dining room so it is a damper to have breakfast there.

Smoky scent in room, mold on curtain, only simple breakfast with limited variety but relatively expensive room rate (perhaps because of Chinese New Year?)

This is a smaller boutique hotel, but definitely worth the price. The breakfast buffet was included. Rooms are simple, but I found them clean. The hotel is located in walking distance of the shopping and restaurant area of Hualien. Also, the hotel offered a tour guide to see Taroko Gorge at a very reasonable price!

I would definitely recommend the Byeyer Hotel if you are dropping by to visit Hualien and the Torako Gorge. Everything from the size of the room, condition of hotel, and service from hotel staff was above average. In fact, hotel service was exceptional - in line with the friendly hospital Taiwanese culture, they showed me a map of the nearby area and provided a handful of recommendations for eateries and even organised a hire scooter to be brought to the hotel for me. Breakfast was somewhat average - basic western and eastern offers. My only advice is take a cab from the station - it's like a 5 minute cab ride (or 20 minute walk). Just to be clear, the hotel is in a pretty good location (shopwise), it's more an issue of the train station being far away if that makes sense.

Friendly helpful staff at reception and dining room. Comfortable and clean room. Good location. Didn't have time to venture out to shops in our one night stay but saw that they were all within walking distance.
