"Good position in St Emilion for exploring "

8.0

Lovely clean room with amazing views, either of the stunning old town or the beautiful vineyards. Charming hotel with modern facilities, very helpful and accommodating staff. They recommended and booked restaurants for us. Difficult to find using a sat nav, more detailed directions would help but well worth the effort.

"Nice basic hotel in great location"

8.0

Our 1 night stay was fine in our twin room. Very clean and nice view. Would be nice to have tea and coffee and a safe in the room but we survived without them. Breakfast seemed very expensive at 14 euros but we just wandered to a bakery in town instead which was lovely.

"We're back...after 23 years"

10.0

My husband and I stayed at this little hotel on a bicycle tour of the bordeaux region 23 years ago. Auberge de la Commanderie is well located in charming Saint Emilion. The hotel is well kept with small, comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast. Hopefully, it won't be 23 years before our next visit.

"St Emillion hotel"

8.0

Fabulous small hotel right on the edge of the quaint old city. Friendly helpful front desk. Free parking for car. Nice room with a fairly good amount of space with air. Great for stopover or tasting Bordeaux wines. Town must have 35 tasting rooms so you don't have to have a vineyard your.

"Great location in St. Emilon"

10.0

We loved the location and the view from our rooms on the second floor. The staff was extremely accommodating. Unique conversion of an older building. Parking available but tricky to get to. Recommend highly.

"What a find! Central location with easy access "

10.0

I couldn't believe our luck with this hotel. Not only was the family room well equiped and comfortable but the location was outstanding! After a warm welcome we parked in the close by secure parking, a godsend in itself in central Saint Emilion where parking is at a premium. We were shown to our room which was well laid out and very comfortable. Even a view of some vines out of the window...stunning!! A very short walk finds you having easy access to the abundance of wine shops and caves, and great places to eat. Overall a great find and hidden gem, we will be back however maybe minus children!
