Lovely boutique hotel in an interesting, quirky part of town

We had a great stay at Casa do Barrio, and would certainly recommend it. Our room was very nice, as was the service, and the breakfast was very good. Once possible downside is that the hotel requires going up/down stairs to get to, so this may be an issue for some.

Great little boutique place to stay in the historic and vibrant Santa Caterina district of Lisbon. Lots going on in this district. Staff were very helpful, even giving us a free extension of our check-out because our flight was in the afternoon. We were given a neighbourhood map and the person who handled our reception marked some restaurant possibilities on it for us along with other useful bits of info. Room was clean, quiet, comfortable (lots of shelves too) and relatively large with a view of the Tagus River in the distance. Breakfast was a friendly affair and choice was good. They cooked our eggs to order and in the style requested. This is one of several Shiadu properties in this neighbourhood. If this one wasn't available, I'd consider checking out one of the others.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa do Bairro and highly recommend any of the Shiadu properties! Excellent, friendly staff and the locations are perfect for exploring Lisbon. We were a party of 7 stayed in both of the Family size rooms. They were perfect to accommodate adults and kids!

This is a small, cosy, cute hotel. All people were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Even though it was on the ground floor, we were not disturbed by too much noise. Breakfast is very simple and very delicious: all basic staff as bread, cheese, ham, vegetable and fruit; and in addition something extra like quiche or pie, and they fry eggs the way you like. Also, for me coffee is important, and coffee was delicious. Location is perfect: can do Lisbon on foot. I would come back to this hotel during my next trip to Lisbon.

Great room, great service at good price.

We were there for three nights, giving us just two full days in Lisbon. Great location, we walked absolutely everywhere. The staff couldn't have been more helpful: travel advice and dinner and other recommendations. Our room was large with two full length windows looking down to the river. Great facilities, comfy bed and powerful shower. We were asked if there was anything that could be better and we couldn't think of anything.
