Uplands Inn Cartmel

We stayed here whilst cycling the Lakes and Dales Loop. Perfect location, right on the route. Secure bike storage. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Great breakfast to set us up for the start of the next day. Competitive priced.

The room was lovely. Comfortable and user friendly. The bar was great - very friendly. The breakfast was delicious too! Loved the terrace on a sunny afternoon looking out over the countryside, drink in hand.

The plumbing was perhaps a bit on the noisy side?

Lovely host who went out of his way to accommodate our van and hotel room. And dogs. Stunning scenery and the food was superb. Lovely friendly vibe. Highly recommended. Well judged good selection of beer and lots of stuff happening depending on which nights you stay.

Very pleasant stay, friendly and welcoming owners and staff. Breakfast was amazing with good food available in the evening, good selection of drinks. Views from the terrace were breathtaking and well worth the trip alone.

We did a stopover in our campervan at this hotel. We had a meal there and the food was delicious. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Its a peaceful lovely place to be and I couldnt recommend it enough. Please, if you are ever driving through Cartmel, please call in at the Uplands Inn Cartmel. You will return.

Shower not very powerful

The short beak we had was excellent from the moment we registered the service was first class . My wife and I both have mobility problems but the young man on reception insisted on taking our luggage too our room (a great help) and from then the service and food were a delight.Enjoyed the break and will go again.
