Comfortable bed, quiet at night and fantastic views. But the hotel feels a little tired, check-in a bar which is full of people drinking isn’t a good experience and the breakfast wasn’t at all good (food not good and weak coffee)

Uplands is a family concern and that is how they made us feel. Nothing was too much trouble and we were "looked after" The food is excellent. We are vegetarian and the breakfast was very good The walking is excellent too

. We came on our adventure bike after touring round the lakes, pulling up on the car park and the views were amazing, very friendly staff, food was so tasty and amazing, beds comfy just what ya need after riding all day

What a gem of a place. Spent a night here on a short trip to the Lakes & was pleasantly surprised by how lovely the Inn was. Great friendly, attentive staff, good food & a terrace with a view to die for. Lovely spacious rooms too. Amazing value for that part of the world & will definitely be booking again. Have already recommended the hotel to all my friends & family.

On arrival we were welcomed in a really positive and friendly manner. The room was cleaned daily and the whole environment has a really great vibe. The food was always fresh and delicious , I would definitely recommend and certainly be coming again. Thank you to this awesome family .

The breakfast was OK, I thought the apple and kiwi would be peeled and chopped, but wasn't, quite difficult to do it myself with an ordinary knife. The scrambled egg was very unappetising. However all the other food , including dinner was good.

You get what t you pay for and this is good quality budget accommodation. An okay comfortable room, a decent breakfast, welcoming staff and superb views.

The over-ripe kiwi I was served slightly marred the breakfast experience.
