Song Thu hotel

My mom and I stayed at Song Thu for our very short trip to Da Nang. We had a very comfortable stay, and was impressed by the helpfulness of the staff and the convenience of the location. Pros: 1) The room is large and comfortable (we had the room with 2 beds). Bathroom is clean and the water pressure is great. 2) The staff is always super friendly and helpful. This includes the waitresses at the Lion Restaurant, the front desk staff, and security staff. They answered our questions and requests very efficiently and enthusiastically. When the TV remote in our room didn't work, they sent a person up to fix it within 5 minutes of us calling. 3) The location can't be beat. It's a short walk to Han River, the Han River Bridge, and the famous Dragon Bridge. There are also tons of restaurants nearby, although we didn't have time to try any of them. 4) There is the Lion restaurant on the 6th floor of the hotel. As I said, the waiters and waitresses were very helpful. Their food was Ok; we enjoyed the crispy chicken with mango. Cons: 1) The shades and chairs in the room are stained. I think they should be cleaned better. But on the other hand, the bed sheets and towels are VERY clean, and those mattered to us more than the shades and chairs. 2) Some of the electrical outlets in the room doesn't work. My mom had to charge her phone in the bathroom. It's a small inconvenience for her, but it would have been better if the outlets near her bed had worked. Overall, this hotel is a very good value. It's in a fairly safe and quiet area, the room is comfortable, and the staff is friendly. I fell in love with Da Nang while I was here, and I will stay here again if I return to Da Nang.

The breakfast was very poor, not good and everything was cold... The staff who work at the buffet do nothing, they don't fill up the dishes and are juste talking together... Was really not good! At the reception we asked for the price of the local bus and they said it's 40'000 d, but you pay this price when they rip you off in the bus, because we learned from other travellers that it's 20'000 d, and for the way back we paid that! The rooms are big and very clean! The bed is comfortable...

When we arrived, we were upgraded from a standard dubbel room to a suite! The room was huge, simple but clean. The breakfast was okay, mostly vietnamese dishes and eveything except the noodle soup was cold... Some of the receptionists could not speak that much english, I guess they mostly have Vietnamese guests, but knowing what pharmacy means is not too much to ask for. But overall, a good hotel with great location!

Room at Song Thu is ridiculously large. I don't think I've ever been in a room this large for its price ($20USD). There are 3 large windows, floor to ceiling, facing three sides. Staff doesn't speak English, but quite efficient. The building is a little old, but acceptable. It's on a quiet street, stuck behind an old office building that blocked the view of the Han river, but is walkable to near by restaurants. Rooms are relatively clean.

This hotel was fine for the price.....a very basic gym next door for fifty cents a day was convenient. The room was large. The bathroom was OK. The hotel rented me a motor scooter for nine bucks a day and with that you can hit all the beaches and neighboring villages in a good day. Hoi an( I am sure I spelled that wrong) is 20 to 30 minutes on the scooter and a fun and scenic ride.

when i had into the room and saw the bathroom, i very like the room. But something made me unhappy because someone had my room card and want to in my room. i very angry at the time and call the reception ask them, but they give me the answer is unreasonable. they said forgot put something in my room. i hope they will knock the door first then open.

最初に通された部屋のエアコンが効かなかった為、部屋を変えてもらいました。 無料の水が置かれておらず、頼んでもらいました。 部屋を変わった為か翌日のハウスキーピング、無料の水がありませんでした。 その後ハウスキーピングは行われるものの、水が置いてない場合もあり何回かもらいました。 部屋にセキュリティーボックスはありません。 室内は清掃され、きれいな状態ですが、設備の古さは多少出ています。 ドアはオートロックですが、しっかり締めないと鍵が掛りません。 スタッフは皆親切で私のたどたどしい英語を理解しようと努めてくれ、ツアー申し込みや近隣の店の場所を親切に教えてもらいました。 移動の際にもタクシーに行き先を告げてくれるなど、気配りをしてもらいました。 ただコンビニは近隣に無いのか、伝わりませんでした。 朝食はビュッフェスタイルですが品数が少なく、肉類がほとんどありませんでした。 ここの方は朝が早い為か、早くいかないと無くなるのかもしれません。 日曜日はビュッフェは無く、ヌードルかパンどちらか選択と言われましたが、量が少なかった為、両方頼んでしまいました。 近くに店はほとんど無く、すぐ脇の道を折れた所に大学の門がありローカルな食堂が数件あります。 大学生などがそこで食事をとっているようです。 橋の方の道へ出れば店などはありますが、数百メートルほど歩く必要があります。 ハン市場には歩いて10分ほどで行けると思います(暑さを我慢し、道路の渡り方をマスターすれば)。 夜間もフロントに人がおり、安心でき、コストパフォーマンスは良いと思います。

Very good large room at quite good price. While no window in room view from rooftop restaurant of river and beyond very good. Staff pleasant and helpful.

This hotel is a good value for the money. They have comfortable beds, hot showers and a pretty good VN breakfast. The staff is super friendly. Its not fancy but it is very comfortable and very clean. I often stay here when in DaNang.

very aggressive advertising and prose flowers online but we actually got there, she just does not have room to be comfortable, breakfast is temporary, attitudes and language enough to understand, but her name Dieu staff attitude not good attitude when we do not buy no tour at the tour, we had her repeat what we say new, we say welcome 4 seats, she for 16 seats, no matter what, but that it is not true, Too bad
