Very good proximity to local walks, and other attractions. Wholesome food, friendly staff. Located in a beautiful, yet untouristy part of the Lake District.

There is nothing I disliked.

Great location, friendly helpful staff and lovely food on the evening shift

We had to leave at 9am, so went down for breakfast at 07.55. At 08.15 a waiter finally turned up and asked what we wanted, the wife just wanted toast, I asked for scrambled eggs and bacon plus a pot of tea. At 08.25 we got the toast and tea. By 08.45 still no sign of the eggs and bacon. So we had to leave without. Couldnt even see the waiter to tell him. The place wasnt even busy, a table of 10 and a few tables of 2, most waiting. Pretty poor.

Good bar and breakfast / dinning room . Nice atmosphere. Good location

En-suite could do with a bit of updating. Shower worked well but mould on ceiling

Very nice downstairs open and airy food very good

Breakfast is very good and Sunday lunch was also very good. Nice and warm clean with good room facilities. Location of our room was excellent.

Scored a little down from a 10/10 due to no bath in room and paintwork was chipped quite a bit around doors and skirting
