Comfy, friendly, homely, great food. Left too early for breakfast so they did us a tasty packed lunch to take with us. Supplied bottled water on top of the usual tea and coffee

Could see water damage on ceiling. Paint peeling from this area.

Stylish in very nice quiet location

Friendly atmosphere, great staff, lovely food quirky old Inn, loved it & very convenient for Scafell Pike.

Only reason its not 10 is that I'd suggest some bed leg adjustments to make the bed flat. I was so close to falling out it woke me up.

Price was abit much , breakfastvis served too late if you start work before 8.30

The bar lounge and restaurant are fantastic. The food is excellent. The room I stayed in was a single which was good for me. If you don't mind a sqeekey floor board from the neighbouring rooms then all's good. It's part of the character of the building.😁

Bar area excellent with great outside seating area, great country pub menu and food excellent.

Rooms, no heating at all, heavy mould on window frame in bathroom and also around the shower tray and ceiling.

Nice place but same staff shouldn’t be there for sure as they rude and floors should be renovated,makes noises all nite long ! Never again !

Staff is rude and the Kenya guy is out of order with his behaviour and he has no idea how help people to choose things after so many years we come there this was our last Time ! Disgusting old floors makes noise all night long !

This was my second visit with a different group of friends. We will all come again
