Good breakfast

No form of heating in the ensuite bathroom and a draughty window

The fact I had to travel to get breakfast from a sister hotel although, to be fair, the breakfast was very good

Nice location, manager very helpful, staff pleasant.

Walls extremely thin, can hear clearly what is going on in adjacent rooms, as dog friendly rooms are offered, expect to be woken around 6-7am by barking dogs.

Not pleasant enough

The food was amazing and good value for money, nice beers on tap, very friendly and hard working staff, the room was serviced every day which is unusual nowadays. The location was great giving access to the fells of Lakeland whilst close enough to the sea, Drigg beach was only 7 miles away, Wast Water about 5 miles. The shower was great, high pressure and hot.

The bed was very comfy but a little too soft for my liking.

Nice, clean room with a kettle and tea. It was good to find a single room as a solo travellers. There is a restaurant and bar on-site serving breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was chosen from a menu which I much prefer to a buffet as the food is freshly cooked. Good parking at the front and back. Comfortable bed.

The walls seemed a bit thin between rooms but I still slept well.
